Summary
In an era in which many Christians consider Jesus a beloved but remote savior, Willard argues compellingly for the relevance of God to every aspect of our existence. Masterfully capturing the central insights of Christ's teachings in a fresh way for today's seekers, he helps us to explore a revolutionary way to experience God by knowing him as an essential part of the here and now, rather than only as part of the hereafter.

One of the most important books I've ever read
I'm probably going to have to listen to this again and take notes... This is packed with wisdom and offers a considered and well thought out reason for practiced Christianity that touches the soul.

This book will break you... if you allow it
This is an excellent book for Spiritual Formation and will cause it's readers a great deal of introspection, reflection, reality checking and communion with God in confession and repentance. It give a clarion call to being true discipleship which is itself true Christianity. I love the way Dallas Willard uses no nonsense langue to get his points across calling us the apprentices of Jesus.
There were points when reading this when I just had to stop and pray.
The thrust of the book, that we live in a Trinitarian, supernatural universe and that truth of reality is far greater than the presuppositions of naturalism and materialism holding that God is real and the spiritual and physical world are just as real as each other is a much needed message today.
The conclusion to the book which looks to the end of God's divine conspiracy or plan, which includes a redeemed humanity and the universe he created is full of hope and refreshes the eyes of the soul
A worthy... difficult in places, but worthwhile read... the kind of book that I'm sure to read again.

The Christian Life in the 2020s.
This is such a big yet great book. At one stage I got bogged down, but now in a week or so have listened to the last 15 hours. Well worth a listen and lots of help and suggestions on discipleship and how to live the Christian life.

Seminal
Here is a work of comprehensive scope and universal application. A modern classic of Christian discipleship. I find it difficult to overstate the benefits of reflection upon its rich narration of the kingdom of God in the life of the individual disciple, the local church and the affairs of humankind.
Divine Conspiracy has the potential to be applied as a Rule of Life, that is a way for a Christian to engage actively in formation in the everyday course of living a worthwhile life.

Well worth the Investment
I think it's hard to review a book of this nature for a few reasons. For one it's very practical in the sense of it giving you lots to go away and do but also think about. In saying that shouldn't I come back after I've tried the things it suggests?
I any case I found this book a joy to read and in my view, we'll worth the Investment.
If you are interested to understand more about the spiritual walk of a Christian then this is highly recommended!

A masterpiece, a must-read for all Christians
A masterpiece, a must-read for all Christians. It took me over 6 months to finish listening it and I had many of my beliefs challenged and changed.
The Gospel and Kingdom of God are so much more amazing than I could ever imagine.
When you think you got the Gospel is a good sign that you haven't.

Like deep waters
Dallas Willard takes his time to explain the things we have made complicated in simple terms and to gently show how over time the church has moved away from what Jesus taught us to do, and then gives guidance on how to be a disciple.
