Logos Bible Study presents this informative lecture on the text of the final book of the New Testament, Revelation. The lecturer, Dr. Bill Creasy, is a passionate and knowledgeable biblical scholar as well as an engaging speaker. In his composed voice, he gives clear historical context for this section of the Bible while providing clear explanations for religious and nonreligious listeners, making this audio lecture intellectual but entirely approachable. With his years of experience as a professor, Dr. Creasy has impeccable dramatic pacing and enunciation. This live lesson is a delight for those listeners eager to learn more about this seminal text.
Dr. Creasy has noted on many occasions that the Bible-in its final, finished form-is a unified literary work that is linear in structure. Its main character is God, its conflict is sin, and its theme is redemption. Viewing the Bible from this perspective, the curtain rises on our story in Genesis 1, and it falls in Revelation 22. From a literary perspective, Revelation is the final chapter in a sprawling 2,000 page, 66-chapter story. As the conflict of sin enters the world in Genesis 3, so is it finally and definitively resolved in Revelation 20. Then, in Revelation 21 and 22 our linear narrative bends back around on itself and we have a new beginning: We are back in the Garden of Eden-the New Jerusalem-where there is "no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
In the New Jerusalem "God's dwelling place is among people, and he will dwell with them." In the New Jerusalem God will walk with his people in the cool of the day, just as he did with Adam and Eve at the start in the Garden of Eden. In Revelation 21-22 we come full circle. Join Logos Bible Study's Dr. Bill Creasy as together we bring down the curtain on the story of fallen humanity and celebrate a new beginning, redeemed by God!

"Dr. Bill Creasy is an excellent educator"
This is the first book I've listened to by Dr. Bill Creasy and after this I plan on exploring all the books of the bible he did a study on. He does an excellent job of explaining and breaking down the symbolism and history of Revelation and lets you know when its a simple literal explanation so you don't get overwhelmed.
I have always been overwhelmed by reading Revelation because of the extreme visions and what you should see and expect to happen. I've always been interested in it but somewhat afraid of how to understand it. Dr. Bill Creasy makes it very simple to understand and almost like a light bulb goes off when I'm listening to his explanations.
I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone wanting to seriously understand Revelation.
"Outstanding on so any Levels !"
I have listened to this Book three times and I continue to pick new information!
"A good expository lecture on Revelation"
Dr Creasey makes it clear that he is a Bible teacher not a Bible preacher. As a Bible teacher, he’s very good. He has a wealth of historical information that he folds into his Bible lectures which is very helpful.
This study isn’t going to reveal anything controversial. Having gone through Dr Creasey’s 60hr through the Bible course (highly recommended), I would say there isn’t much more you will get from this study than what is in the two or three lessons at the end of the 60hr course. But, if you’re like me, I enjoy his studies and plan to go through the individual lectures one at a time.
As a criticism, I don’t like how he brings in Daunte’s Inferno or the Divine Comedy as additional books to explain Satan or Hell. The Bible is the Word of God everything else is not in the same ballpark. You need to balance this study with Bible teaching at your local Bible believing church. I don’t know if Dr Creasey starts or ends his lectures with prayer and the prayer is removed from this audio, but I would have liked to hear a prayer to bless the teaching as it is critical when you study the Word of God.
"Dr. Bill hit it out of the park with this one"
Dr. Bill s an expert the history, the archaeology ,and what it was like to live and different times. There is enough gravitas there for senior Christians and newbies. Hetakes teaching the word of God seriously and approaches it with humor!
Dr. Bill states what the Lord says,, and then might go off into various interpretations but iin the end he is word-based always word based!
He makes the Bible fun!
Dr. Bill has opened up the Bible to me and thousands of others! He is a gem if I did not get to meet him on earth than I will certainly meet him in heaven in which I will give him a big hug!
That not only goes for Daniel but for other books of the Bible! I originally started listening to his series in preparation of precepts upon precepts studying revelation! and it made it a whole lot easier on me! I am ones and those who actually understands revelation!
I wish there were more people out there like Dr. Bill and there would be more Christians without a doubt!
"I am going back!"
I am one of those people who read the last chapter first to make sure the book rands well before I commit . LOL. I have read the Bible and head it taught all my 63 years but I have never been brave enough to tackle Revelation . Dr. Creasy taught and explained it so well that I think I will go back and start at the beginning with him. Thank you Dr. Creasy.
"Tremendous, soul searching."
Those who listen to this presentation and follow along will have a clearer understanding of Revelation and take it to heart.
Dr. Creasy makes the Bible lessons come alive.
"Worth the time to listen"
Well read and explained. Not as in depth as I may have liked but has encouraged me to learn more.
"Fantastic presentation of Revelations"
Absolutely, this was a fantastic presentation of revelations. As matter of fact I may listen to this book every six months or so that as a Christian I can look forward to what's ahead with reassurance and with confidence. Since we as Christians believe in what's happened in the past as predicted through prophecy in the Old Testament how much more so is Revelations pointing toward the glorious return of Jesus
The discriptions of the visions and the difficulty in conveying the descriptions orally. After his explanation as to the difficulties in expressing visions into words it was much easier for me to think about what John actually may have seen. Also the descriptions of previous prophecies such as in Daniel and how these correlated with the vision of John.
I have not heard the narrators performance in the past but certainly enjoyed this presentation
Revelation the unveiling
Yes I really enjoyed this book from the standpoint that it is a book that can be listened to over and over again. Also there is so much historical as well as relational and easy to understand information that goes on in the book
I was looking for a spiritual study of the Book of Revelation. This is just archaeological and historical. There's absolutely no emotion no passion and it's boring.
"Needs editing~but not bad over all"
In the Revelation study Dr. Creasy stipulates paper was invented in Pergamon ~ this isn’t correct ~ Paper was invented in China during the Han dynasty.
I believe Dr. Creasy is referring to the myth that parchment (animal membrane) was invented in Pergamon. This is just a myth ~ parchment was in use long before Pergamum’s parchment dominance was even a glint in its father’s eye.
I believe Dr. Creasy statement “paper was invented in Pergamon” should be edited out.
