What a chalenge! Most chapters quite short; well read; few wasted words so attention needs to be kept. I found this one profitable listening and will listen again.
As a beginner in exploring the act of prayer, I found this book very instructional. It provided me with a foundation in prayer based on biblical praying men. I was able to implement these principles immediately as well as share them in my leadership of my church's Men's Ministry. In the beginning I had trouble understanding the style of the writing. Once my mind was quiet, it flowed very well.
E.M. Bounds give great insight into prayer and it's powerful effects. The only thing about this listen is that Simon Vance did so great reading God's Smuggler and Dorien Ellis did such a tremendous job reading the last E.M. Bounds book it was hard to get the same effect from the calmer Simon Vance as I did in Power through Prayer.
I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the essential-ness of prayer and what it can do in your life.
What an unbeatable combination.
The book is a classic on the subject. The narrator is one of the best ever.
"A Remarkable Book on Prayer"
This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to become deeper and more purposeful in their prayer time. The performance by Simon Vance is very strong.
