Summary

David was the youngest of eight children. One day, God sent a prophet into Israel. The prophet's name was Samuel. Samuel told everyone that God was going to choose a new king very soon. He told everyone that David would be the new king. One day, King Saul sent for David. He was upset and needed some soothing music to calm him down and ease his worried mind. The king grew very fond of David. One day, the Philistines challenged King Saul and his army. What happens to David? Does he defeat the Philistines and their army?
