Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires - aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a "nice guy." It is no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death.
In this provocative book, Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be - dangerous, passionate, alive, and free.

"Great and Inspiring"
I loved listening to the book. Reminded me of what I lost. Balls and adventure
This book just validated what I already felt in my heart. This book has changed my view on me, my role as a partner, father, and friend! A must read!
"Enjoyed very much"
This is a very needed book. I would recommend it to any man young or old that may need a refreshing look at what authentic man-hood looks like. I believe that this book has set in motion the needed things to guide me to be a better husband and in the future a better father. Thank you John Eldredge for taking time to write it.
This enlightening read has given me insight into the heart of my husband and son that is beyond measure. The men in my life so rarely talk about their feelings and inner most desires, this book allowed for conversations that I might never have had.
this book helped me understand a few things. helped me with some ways I thought where wrong. that it's okay to be a man.
"Awakens the inner "Man"!"
Awesome read! Restores the fact that you can be masculine, strong and a warrior and be exactly what God needs and intends you to be! Proud with your chest out, his soldier!
"Good message, but not enough for a book"
The overall message of the book was definitely good and at times inspiring. However, I believe it can be easily summed up in a chapter or two. Eldredge keeps returning to earlier movie references time and time again to reinforce his points -- as if he had a difficult time coming up with something new to say. His message makes for a great sermon, but not so much a book.
"Good audio book!"
This audio book was excellent! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to shake things up!
