Publisher's Summary

MEP and award-winning political writer Daniel Hannan argues for a British exit ahead of the coming referendum.

Hannan demonstrates that the EU is past its sell-by date, rendered obsolete by technological advances, shrinking economically and less relevant to our economic needs than ever. Worse than that, he shows that the EU can't reform, can't be democratic and can't be divorced from its goal of ever-closer political union. Staying in does not mean staying the same, and a vote to leave - far from being the risky choice - is actually the safe one.

Finally, Hannan argues that Britain doesn't have to stay in the EU to remain at the heart of Europe and considers the global role a confident nation freed from EU strictures could play.

Daniel Hannan has been Conservative MEP for South East England since 1999. He writes frequently for the Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Guardian, CapX, and Washington Examiner. He is the author of the award-winning How We Invented Freedom & Why It Matters.

A must read for truth seekers. For people that believe in British identity and want to understand the misguided nature of the European Union project. Highly informative and well read.

    "Eye-opening"

Everyone who is planning to vote to remain in the EU should read this book. I am pro-Europe and I thought that I was therefore automatically pro-EU. I now realise that I was wrong, the two things are very, very different, and I will be voting to leave the EU in June.

    "Very Good"

I found this to be a very enjoyable listen. You might not agree if you're of the 'Remain' mindset - the author clearly takes the opposite stance - but if you're interested in hearing from the 'Leave' side you could do worse than listen to this book.

"Good arguments from a sound mind."

Well written and narrated. I listened to this before the referendum, though I had already made up my mind. However the arguments are solid and sound. As it happens we have now voted to leave and raise our eyes to a broader horizon.

    "Even after the vote... "

it's worth a listen. He covers the entire subject of the EU and Brexit and sets out in a factual, reasoned way why we should vote out and what should be done post Brexit. There would be a lot loss fear now if people had listened to this. And the narration by Hannan? Eloquent. A fine orator

"A MUST READ EVEN AFTER THE REFERENDUM!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Why Vote Leave to be better than the print version?

For me it is. I prefer to listen especially when the narrator, the author, is such a great orator.

What does Daniel Hannan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I'm a very auditory person - I learn best from listening - and Daniel Hannan has perfect delivery of his own work.

    Any additional comments?

Those who voted to Remain in the EU are now brandishing all Leave voters as the "Uneducated Masses" and "Racists" Some now even call themselves the 'illuminati' and believe that the right to vote should only be given to citizens who reach a higher level of education. (presumably only those who think as they do!) I have even been told by a few that I think I am better than everyone else, having voted to Leave, and that they are ashamed to be associated with me! . Can they not hear themselves?

If you are looking for clarity as to what the heck is going on instead of gullibly believing a very biased or ill informed press, (at least here in the USA) read this book. You will see for yourself why some very educated people also voted to Leave!!

Having read this book, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a new referendum. And I only pray that Daniel Hannan won't give up the good fight. God help us.

Extremely well structured presentation of the facts

What did you like best about this story?

Good combination of history lesson and current day geo politics

What does Daniel Hannan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He reads it himself which I always like when authors take the time to do

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Cry! At how crazy the EU has become!
