Summary

Nationally renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht and New York Times bestselling author Charles Bosworth, Jr. have written a riveting narrative that exposes the disturbing truth behind the Christmas day murder of six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey. Dr. Wecht's expert analysis of the public record leads to shocking new conclusions divulged here for the first time.

There is evidence that the child beauty queen's death was a tragic accident, not a deliberate murder. Autopsy evidence is consistent with sexual abuse prior to her death, and certain crime scene evidence contradicts the "intruder theory". Was the murder scene compromised?

Discover who Dr. Wecht believes is really responsible for JonBenet's death.

Common sense

Much has been written about this tragic case but this is the most common sense version i have read according to the known facts.when you look at all the evidence,it is quite clear to me that the intruder theory is totally ridiculous. Hopefully, little jonbenet will one day get some justice.

Doesn’t add too much to the mix but decent

This is a very decent rehearsal of the case. If you are looking for an entry level book this is pretty good, covers the issues in a good amount of detail without going into the density of the magisterial Perfect Murder, Perfect Town. It more or less treads a balanced line but probably comes down on the anti-family side quite firmly. It’s perfectly fine but think real students of the case might find it a wee bit blah.

Glad it's over

I found it difficult keeping up with the time line . Best described tedious.

Oh dear, who did this?

I had my reservations about even wanting to listen to this book, which turned out to be more informative than I thought it would be.
I feel this would have been handled very differently here in the UK. Not necessarily better but from a different angle, and I am writing this review at least one hour of reading to go.
That poor girl, right from the beginning with the stupid name inflicted on her, no real deep knowledge given to us about her superficial parents....
Well, who did this then...?????

Enjoyable listen , with one exception

I first read about the Ramsay case several years ago and looked forward to this book as an update on the case. It would have earned 5 stars overall, if it wasn't for the inordinate amount of time spent on describing (in detail) the assumed sexual assault on JonBenet. This was, to my mind, totally unnecessary to the narrative. Would I listen again - yes. Would I recommend the book - yes but with reservations.
