In Either/Or, he concentrates on sensual indulgence versus duty and the avant garde versus tradition. In Sickness unto Death, Kierkegaard diagnoses a spiritual disease throughout society: despair. Kierkegaard argues that we are estranged from the source of our very being as we try to escape the moral responsibility of the self.

Enjoyable and covers a broad scope of Kierkegaard's thought but it might be nice to have a little more detail in some places and some more analysis of the text.
"Insight of a Believing Thinker"
This was the first audiobook I've ever listened to. It was a gift from my niece who knew I loved Kierkegaard.
I loved getting an introduction to the works that I haven't read. We learn the reasons for the pseudonyms, and the philosophies dealt with in his books.
I enjoyed all of his performances. I couldn't pick a favorite.
The Passion of a Follower of Christ.
It stirred my heart. There are just snippets of information about Kierkegaards struggles with Hegel, Socrates, and the prevailing Danish Christian Church, but enough to remind you of the tremendous contribution Kierkegaard made to Christian thought. His passionate insistence that we live and not just believe the truth. I loved it!!!
"A Philosophical Materpiece"
It taught me why philosophy matters.
His love for Regina and his understanding that subjectivity is more important than objectivity.Allthough tragic the genius that Soren had taught people to look for more than just getting by. This story told me I need to find my purpose and when I do that will be "my" truth, not what everyone else thinks it should be for me.
His calrity and obvious love for the subject matter.
Truth is what you make of it, not what the world does.
Wonderful summary....I listened to it 3 times. His life just fascinated me
clear but short intro to K"s life and seminal thought. Charlton does a great job.
"Brief but existential"
Quick read but pretty good depth on Kierkegaard's contributions to the field. Very thought provoking
