    "Great Story"
If you could sum up She Wanted It All: A True Story of Sex, Murder, and a Texas Millionaire in three words, what would they be?

This was a really great book! It makes you feel happy, sad, and angry at different times throughout it.

What other book might you compare She Wanted It All: A True Story of Sex, Murder, and a Texas Millionaire to and why?

Kathryn Casey's other true crime books are quite similar to this one.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The author's accents that she used for the different characters was a bit weird at times.

    "Choppy narrator & too long"

This is a good book except the narrator speaks in phrases a good bit of the story, which makes for a rather choppy listening experience. And the book is just too dang long!

    "Horrible Narrator"

Story was good, although quite repetitive. Narrator was so bad I almost quit. She was like a really bad William Shatner impersonator, but minus any charm. Bizarre intonation / choppy. Every (I mean EVERY) female voice was a sort of gruff, slightly slurred, twangy sameness. A few words were mispronounced. Distracting to an extreme.

Writing was fine. Nothing left out. Satisfying true crime.

    "Ruined by melodramatic reading"

This is an extremely well-written and well researched book, with a fascinating topic – but it is ruined by the narrators decision to perform the event and his wife and a screeching, high-pitched baby voice that

"Narrator was to whiney to enjoy"
What would have made She Wanted It All: A True Story of Sex, Murder, and a Texas Millionaire better?

Well the book was extremely boring. I have in the past liked this author, but this one was just dragging on and on and on and on and on... You get the idea.

What was most disappointing about Kathryn Casey’s story?

That's hard to say, I think that it is just plain boring.

Would you be willing to try another one of Moe Rock’s performances?

No! Her voice is whining and sounds like a petulant preteen any time she is reading dialog. It made it that much harder to listen to the book.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The research was if accurate well done.

    Any additional comments?

I can't think of anything else except that if you are considering this book, listen to the sample first to make sure you don't find the narration as painful as I did.

Book was interesting but narrator was really annoying. I only continued to listen because the story was one I'd heard of previously.
