This was a really great book! It makes you feel happy, sad, and angry at different times throughout it.
Kathryn Casey's other true crime books are quite similar to this one.
The author's accents that she used for the different characters was a bit weird at times.
"Choppy narrator & too long"
This is a good book except the narrator speaks in phrases a good bit of the story, which makes for a rather choppy listening experience. And the book is just too dang long!
decently written story, though repetitive at times. hated the narrator! her portrayal of the characters really made it difficult to listen to and concentrate on the plot.
"Ruined by melodramatic reading"
This is an extremely well-written and well researched book, with a fascinating topic – but it is ruined by the narrators decision to perform the event and his wife and a screeching, high-pitched baby voice that
"awsome book I loved every minute of it"
the fact that it was a true story made it even better i love true crime books
"Narrator was to whiney to enjoy"
Well the book was extremely boring. I have in the past liked this author, but this one was just dragging on and on and on and on and on... You get the idea.
That's hard to say, I think that it is just plain boring.
No! Her voice is whining and sounds like a petulant preteen any time she is reading dialog. It made it that much harder to listen to the book.
The research was if accurate well done.
I can't think of anything else except that if you are considering this book, listen to the sample first to make sure you don't find the narration as painful as I did.
"she was one mean woman"
I like that it was a true story and close to where I live. It was every interesting to listen to
Wasted by Suzy Spencer
no this is my first
lots of moments the sex drugs and partying
a true waste of money time and life
Book was interesting but narrator was really annoying. I only continued to listen because the story was one I'd heard of previously.
Good..hated the voice the narrator used for Tracy and Celeste...overall good though..............lost of background on charactors
Loved the story but the narration was horrible! Probably the worst I've heard and I've listen to dozens of audible books. Her normal speaking voice is fine but when she tried to imitate the other characters it is soooo bad.
