The shocking true case of demonic possession from the reporters who first covered it in the Boston Herald. The case was discussed and you can watch the real exorcism footage in the blockbuster horror film The Conjuring.
When terrifying, bizarre things kept happening to a hard-working Massachusetts farmer, he did what anyone would do. First, he went to the local police chief. Then he went to his priest. And then he went to Ed and Lorraine Warren, the world's most famous demonologists, who investigated the Amityville horror and other terrifying cases of demonic possession. It was the Warrens who called in one of America's most renowned exorcists, Bishop Robert McKenna. What they all experienced is described in this extraordinary book. Absolutely terrifying. Absolutely true.

Absolutely spellbinding, I really got absorbed by it. I am curious though about what 'Phil forced his son frenchie' to do as a child in the barn.
Maybe I missed the explanation but would have helped explain how the father got possessed.
Brilliant story and well narrated
"8 hours of my life wasted"
painfully boring a slogg thru dense filler material all could have said in one chapter
I was reluctant at first by the title but this was the best paranormal book I have listen to, I wish it was longer and I will listen to it over and over
"very good story."
I have done some research on the background of the story and it's a legit story. very true.
this was such a well written story. I was very I intrigued and couldn't wait to finish the story. I found it a little difficult at times with the readers voice to tell the different characters apart. otherwise this was fantastic!
"Was he possessed ?"
I liked the story but the thing is that the father of Frenchie seems to be a frustrated and narcissistic father instead of possessed however they claim the the demon was transpassed from his father to him, I think it's more like repeated patrons
"Very riveting, very intense story!"
This book was very well written, and I loved the detailed background story of young Maurice. It gave the reader a very intimate look inside his troubled mind.
I liked that it wasn't just some cheesy monster story, but a realistic look into the views of everyone who had witnessed different events.
I was hoping that it would e much scarier, but I'll give this an 8
"ending is kind of random"
good story. narrator kept it interesting but the only flaw was the ending didn't really tie it up and seemed to pull from a differnt angle while it still kept with the story there was no mention of it till the very end . And if it had been played upon during the rest of the book it may have helped some of the characters narrative.
"not good...not bad either."
Feel like the book is a lot longer than needs to be. It has a bit of a twist ending, that has you thinking about the true motives of the main character. Hoax or real???
beginning slow but mid point very scary. amazing story, Ed & Lorraine life would be challenging.
