The New York Times best-selling authors of Lessons from the Light offer a new and provocative understanding of heaven and how messages from the afterlife can assist you in the here and now.
We live in a world of near-universal acceptance that once our lives on the Earth come to an end, we continue to a greater world. Whether that destination is called heaven, nirvana, or simply the other side, tradition teaches us that there is, in most cases, a fairy-tale ending to life, a place where joy and harmony reign supreme. Yet, as this book attests, there is still more to heaven and Earth than is dreamt of in our philosophies.
George Anderson is considered by many to be the greatest medium living today. After more than 50 years of hearing from souls who have transitioned to the world hereafter, he is constantly reminded by those who have passed that our preconceived notions of this life - and the next - aren't always accurate. The nine stories in this book illuminate times when unusual circumstances, such as sudden death, unresolved emotions, abusive relationships, and painful family dynamics, make it necessary for the dead and the living to find new doors to healing.
In session with Anderson, survivors and those who have passed meet again in encounters that are profound, bittersweet, highly emotional, and sometimes downright funny. What we learn is that there are little-known spiritual treasures - and lessons to be learned - about heaven and Earth that can restore, revitalize, and make new what was once broken.
Life Between Heaven and Earth is an inspiring, thought-provoking, path-changing work, one that affirms that no matter how complicated a circumstance is, resolution, peace, and acceptance can be found in deep and remarkable ways.

"not very helpful"
this book was a let down for me I listened to The Happy Medium and The Light Between Us and was filled with peace and understanding about communications with our loved ones and ways to help us navigate better through our lives. I started listening to this book and found it to be a long set of personal stories illustrating simplified truths that I would hope most people listening to these types of books would already know. (such as you have a choice sometimes of when to cross - don't we know that already? maybe not?) if you are new to these types of books, enjoy long stories and details about a small set of families that have nothing to do with the crossing, and are looking for an introduction into the potential of an afterlife, this might be a good book. it appears to be well thought out by a seasoned medium, it just doesn't seem to contain additional information about the afterlife or concepts that bring peace to me.
I lost count of the many times I heard the word "yes". It was if the people receiving the soul reviews were of limited vocabulary. Narration was dull. I do NOT recommend this book.
"Makes one realize we are never really alone"
This audio book is better than the book because of the different voices used that it makes you feel as if you are in the room during the conversation. It made me contemplate my life again and realize what we do here on earth those that have passed on are always near helping us in our troubles times and our happy times as well.
I love the session where the cancer patient was told by the infant she lost that all she needed to do was count to 1-2-3 and release and he she would pass on as if going through another room and she would be there. Nice to know our love ones will be on the other side when we pass.
No, haven't heard speakers before. I really did enjoy the different casts of voices.
A little girl's soul came to a session to talk to a Marine and say she was watching him. He didn't know her very well and yet she look at him as a dad. Shows us that a simple act of kindness can stretch love far beyond our understanding.
George Anderson has a gift and he is so generous to share with us healing stories.
Such a wonderful way to bring comfort to all! I enjoyed it and I am a true believer that there is so much more than we understand 🙏🏼
"loved the stories. makes me shiver"
i used to think the lights just turn off at the end of life. thanks to God we just enter a new door without any fear
Loved the book. I always enjoy reading George Anderson's books. They are so insightful and makes you reflect and think that our love ones continue to be around.
"Life Between Heaven and Earth."
I found this read to be most intriguing. Very well written and informative. Difficult to disconnect from temporarily. This is a must read. This book gives insight to the fact that we don't die, and that our loved ones are always near us during our journey on earth.
I'd recommend this to everyone, good stories and narration with a great message of hope.
very well narrated and trully helpful to understand the here after. I really loved it!
"Not What I Expected/Stickin It Out Proved Worth It"
Yes I would recommend it to certain friends actually. Like I said in the title it definitely wasn't what I expected but it was totally worth sticking it out because sometimes it takes quite a long while to come to like a book. I wish I could give it 3 and 1/2 starz!
This was my first experience with full cast and I really loved it! This is absolutely one of the greatest strengths of this novel.
Hmm I would have to think about that for a while. I will say that there were certainly better stories than others. Some are not that great and I am not saying I believe either. But, take the stories as fiction or even if they have some real life truth to them, many are entertaining and beautiful. But no I don't believe in the medium which makes it all the more captivating the fact that I gave it 4 starz I mean. That's how entertaining and at some times unnerving these life stories are but I am not a huge fan of the "sessions."
I would've liked some more "stories in their own words" and less sessions of silly guessing aka this mans' mediumship. And just because I do not believe in this mans' powers in particular doesn't mean I don't believe in some facets of the paranormal at all because I do. I do believe in much of the supernatural as a matter of fact. I just think it's a lot more rare than we think and there are sooo many people/actors out there who are simply in it for the money taking advantage of broken/grieving people. Still, this book does have some great real life stories told in their own words which makes it worth it and entertaining. Many books can't hold my attention at all so.... 3 and a half stars total if we can give half stars that's what I am giving this book for real. 3.5 stars
