Publisher's Summary

Ghosts are always hungry, someone once said and no one knows how ravenous they really are more than Ed and Lorraine Warren, the world's most renowned paranormal investigators.

For decades, Ed and Lorraine Warren hunted down the truth behind the most terrifying supernatural occurrences across the nation and brought back astonishing evidence of their encounters with the unquiet dead. From the notorious house immortalized in The Amityville Horror to the bone-chilling events that inspired the hit film The Conjuring, the Warrens fearlessly probed the darkness of the world beyond our own, and documented the all-too-real experiences of the haunted and the possessed, the lingering deceased and the vengeful damned.

Graveyard chronicles a host of their most harrowing, fact-based cases of ghostly visitations, demonic stalking, heart-wrenching otherworldly encounters, and horrifying comeuppance from the spirit world. If you don't believe, you will. And whether you listen alone in the dead of night or in the middle of a sunny day, you'll be forever haunted by its gallery of specters eager to feed on your darkest dread.

"Believer or sceptic, an interesting listen"

I've heard a lot about Ed & Lorraine Warren recently, and enjoyed the Conjuring 1 and 2 - Annabelle fell a bit flat but that's just me. I wasn't sure what to expect from this audiobook, but what it actually contains is a number of short stories (told as such, presumably dramatised somewhat) about supernatural or paranormal activity that the Warrens and their society believe to be authentic. Whether or not you agree with their belief, the stories are all well told and entertaining and your personal belief or lack thereof needn't ruin your enjoyment of the story. I'm often sceptical, thinking that sounds like too much of a coincidence or that people don't react that way or etc - but whether I believed them or not, the stories are still worth listening too. That's quite an achievement in an area that so polarises opinion are paranormal research. I'm glad I gave it a try, and may give some of the other books in this series a try when credits allow.

    "exceptional."

great stories. the last one there, was the only one I was skeptical on. They didn't give any references to who made all these claims and found their information. To me that one seemed a little fabricated. However, the others were intense and completely valid. love it.

"Ugh, just listening to this crap made me cranky"

I like The Conjuring, so I hoped I might like this book. Too bad it's totally terrible. The narrators does the best he can with a hokey, maudlin, preachy text, but please, save yourself 4 hours and skip this recording.

    "Alright"

Interesting enough but would certainly question the "true" nature of some of these stories, especially the stories with no witnesses and one person who doesn't live to share their story.

"Good narration, stories are decent but not great"

I want to say the narrator does a fantastic job will all the characters, and he paces well. The stories in the book vary from good and scary to just plain boring. Some of them are not very believable. A lot of them don't have anything to do with the Warrens.

It's not a bad book, but it's not an excellent book either.

    "eh."
What would have made Graveyard better?

This is alright. Kinda of on the lines of Unsolved Mysteries or America's Most Haunted Places. It is a recitation of various "ghost" stories. Somewhat hokey. Apparently the Warren's selected these stories, but these are not experiences that Warrens themselves had, and they make little or no comment on the stories themselves.

Would you ever listen to anything by the authors again?

I would listen to additional recordings about the Warren's direct experiences.

Have you listened to any of Todd Haberkorn’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No, I don't think so.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Honestly, after a little while, boredom. The stories seem kind of tame.
