Summary
From the people who brought you the bestselling Confessions of a GP. From stampeding nudes to inebriated teenagers, young nurse Michael Alexander never really knew what he was getting himself into. But now, sixteen years since he was first launched into his nursing career – as the only man in a gynaecology ward – he’s pretty much dealt with everything: Body parts that come off in his hands; Teenagers with phantom pregnancies; Doctors unable to tell the difference between their left and right; Violent drunks; Singing relatives; Sexism… and a whole lot of nudity. From the team that brought you the bestselling ‘Confessions of a GP’, comes a touching, shocking and frequently hilarious account of one man’s life in nursing.

Too Much Inhaling!
Tried to persevered with this book as i do enjoy autobio's but couldn't get used to the narrator constantly inhaling to speak after every other word, so annoying and off putting i gave up in the end, would have been an enjoyable listen if it wasn't for his bla bla (inhale) bla bla (inhale) and on and on...........

An insight into work of a male nurse
I really enjoyed this book. The stories kept me captivated and wanting to know more. In fact I would like to know more and hope Michael Alexander writes another book about his life as a private school nurse!

Beware of your mortality awareness
This book was a good insight into the world of hospitals, but it did make me think "I have got that!" so it is worth a listen, the seriousness is mixed with a good dose of humour. So try not to think of all of the things that might go wrong with us, and look at it as an enlightening and entertaining listen
