Brilliant book for any new parent
The book is very easy to follow, offers practical advice based on scientific research.

Amazing tool to improve you parenting skill set
I consider myself a man's man but as a parent I want to be the best I can. I wasn't expecting to get as much out of this book as I did, I'm so glad I read it.
A really great book full of practical advice backed by real life and scientific experience. Makes you assess how you parent your child and understand how you improve your parenting technique. As a dad to a very sensitive daughter and vet rambunctious son i found it invaluable for both.

Science backed research makes you think
Well researched and written, this book explains some of the mysteries of why children do what they do. Rather than telling you how to parent, the research makes you think about the path you want to take. Overall a useful read.
it does appear in parts that recordings had been done on a bad microphone set-up (only a few minutes overall here and there) but that doesn't detract too much from you pleasant style of narration.

Good to know and study backed baby info
I've looked for baby books and knowledge about how best to raise a child and not screw it up. I didn't want a mum of two's personal opinion and I really liked this study tested approach with background knowledge yet easy to apply in everyday life.

Not sugar coated
John Medina delivers a fascinating insight into the development of a baby's mind and emotions. Saturated with large doses of modern scientific research, honest admittance of lack of scientific evidence and peppered with humorous stories and anecdotes, this was a very informative and practical book that didn't claim anything it couldn't prove. It's not one to try to listen to while sleep deprived at 3am, however. The audio book is clearly narrated without being monotone. I highly recommend this book to parents interested in improving their understanding of how their child thinks and how their own actions are building their little one's mind, emotions and moral outlook.
