Just the business

This is really good for a quick start to a language before that first trip. It will get you going in the cafe or restaurant or asking directions in the shortest possible time. For development of the structure of the language Michel Thomas Method is then terrific to take you forward but sadly seems to be dropping off Audible books.

Brilliant way to learn Italiano

Bought this and volume 2 and I was not disappointed. It is a bit strange at first but once you get into the way of it, it is a fantastic system for learning any language. As with any language you will need to go over it a few times - I burned it to CD and played it in the car - subliminal learning - was really surprised at how fast I learned - delighted.

I love listening to things in the car and have learned so much through audible - I now have my own wee learning mobile :-)

Laid back learning

The earworms method has worked for me - listening to words to music, using the same words in different surroundings and all very relaxing. Would recommend.

Any additional comments?

need to give the chapters titles so you can find the sections you want to work on without having to listen to the whole thing

A good quick fix

Like any of the language courses, you get out what you put in. This course uses a music background with a native and English speaker going over Italian phrases and words. The course tends to provide a sentence, in English, and then in Italian and then breaks down all the words in the sentence, and the pronunciations for the words. The course is similar to the other earworms courses, and if you liked one of the others I imagine you'll ; like this one.

It's not a bad idea, although the tunes are not that great, I find that I can recall some of the sentences. A good supplement for learning, or for a quick fix before heading on holiday but it is not a good standalone course.

The music is the problem

Much repetition of phrases - just what is needed for language acquisition. However, the constant music behind the phrases is annoying and distracting. Tinny.

Not impressed

Good idea to help learn through music, but the info given will barely get you anywhere. Not really worth the money.

not my bag

Would you try another book written by Earworms Learning or narrated by Andrew Lodge?

the language course is done via a backdrop of pumping music - lots of five star reviews
but my mind found it confusing and would prefer a more verbal approach

What could Earworms Learning have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

drop the music - defo

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

good - but drop that music

Any additional comments?

A joke

Can’t believe I’ve wasted a credit on this. Utterly useless. Simple phrases set against cheesy and annoying music. Just why?
