Finally, a refreshing change !!
After various beginners Italian audio books, this is a refreshing change. The music used really helps with the rhythm of the words and phrases and finally an audio book that breaks words down slowly so you can make sure your pronunciation is correct.
I only get a chance to listen to audio books while driving so the opening lines of sit back and close your eyes probably wasn't a good start but it was still great to listen to while driving.
I'll be trying the other languages now.

Earworm Works
This was actually quite pleasant and easy to listen to. Some systems are really irritating and difficult to repeat.
Please please give us Earworm 2 for these languages asap!!
I also need Earworm Dutch asap!! I am going to have to buy one of the other Dutch ccourses instead. Earworm is a much more pleasant experience.

Molto Bene but too little content
What did you like best about Rapid Italian? What did you like least?
I have used this hypnosis learning before with Paul Mckenna it works well but was way too short for the price. At the cost of a full credit it should be the full programme of 3 downloads.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The voices and content were good just too short. Could have done with a few more classic tourist phrases
What three words best describe Andrew Lodge’s voice?
relaxing clear tonality
If this book were a film would you go see it?
N/A
Any additional comments?
If the series was available for say £25 it would be worth it. 1 section for the equivalent of say 1 Credit £25 was very poor value compared to a 16 hour book

Great way to learn! I feel confident to speak.
Good choice of situation. Very clear pronunciation and lots of repetition. I feel confident to try to speak in Italy.

Perfect if you accidentally memorise song lyrics
I bought Rapid Italian: Volume 1 after several months of doing structured online Italian lessons. I was starting to lack motivation to do my lessons regularly but didn't want to lose momentum. These 'earworms' really did the trick for me. I left them playing on my iPod much as I would have the radio on in the background. Sometimes I paid close attention, often I let the repetitive phrase rhythms just wash over me. But it sank in!
Rapid Italian uses variations on phrases I'd learned in my formal lessons, and when I went to Italy last month, it was the Rapid Italian phrases that sprang to my lips when I needed Italian.
I ended up buying volumes 1, 2 and 3 before my trip.
I found some of the music quite irritating and some very enjoyable. It is obviously impossible for them to please everyone with every track. And this style of learning won't be for everyone. Also, I wouldn't want to have relied solely on earworms for my learning. But if you are someone who discovers you've accidentally memorised the lyrics of songs you don't even recall listening to, this is highly likely to be effective.

not my bag
Would you try another book written by Earworms Learning or narrated by Andrew Lodge?
the language course is done via a backdrop of pumping music - lots of five star reviews
but my mind found it confusing and would prefer a more verbal approach
What could Earworms Learning have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
drop the music - defo
You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
good - but drop that music
Any additional comments?

Not impressed
Good idea to help learn through music, but the info given will barely get you anywhere. Not really worth the money.

For those who've tried & failed...
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is a refreshing way to approach learning a language. I found the phrases nicely broken down so that you could repeat and revisit without it becoming tedious. A good choice of useful phrases for those wanting to start off with some Italian to try out whilst on holiday.
What other book might you compare Rapid Italian to, and why?
Michael Thomas language tapes are much more irritating - mainly because he's conducting a lesson and the wait time for repeating is too slow...these tapes allow you to listen to a variety of voices speaking Italian and translating to English & vice versa. It also allows you to repeat phrases and answer questions in Italian to check your understanding in a way that is not irritating. I was able to listen to this on the train to work and pick up some useful new phrases for my next trip to Italy.
Any additional comments?
This is my top choice of method to start learning a language, I found the pace of learning suited me and in time I know that I'll be able to build on the key phrases to improve my understanding.
