My review on volume 1 would be similar to this. Great idea as I dont mind listening to it several times and the presenters are quite good - if a tad false at certain points.
You still need a proper approach to learning french at some point to really learn the language. More's the pity.
Worth it for the motivation to get you learning the basics.
This is a jolly way to get one's ear back in train before going to France - helps one develop some vocabulary and intonation
It's a very passive style of learning, just listening and not writing, no memory tests, no constructing your own sentences, thus not quite as effective as a more active learning style. It would be great as a supplementary learning aid and combining it with your main French lessons.
fantastic, really gets into your head. After a few listens you start to remember all the phrases.
They work well together, each in its own concept.
The book because you need to see the word, but the audio version is brilliant to have in the house when you're working to listen too, In the car it is great, drive and learn.
I bought the Rapid French ONE in 2009 and has been great over the years,we even bought another copy of the CD, so we had them in the car and the house, we have all learnt through it and we have been waiting for the 2nd one to come out, taken ages but well done.
Not sure as the other Learn French books have been very intense, so I have NEVER followed them through, Hence I think Rapid French has made French so easy to learn.
If you find French HARD to learn, Rapid French is so easy. I have been the french lessons at night school where you learn TEXT book french which is NO good if you are going to live in France, because the french people just do not understand you!
Rapid French is French that the French understand.
So glad this second edition has come out at long last and is now on my Laptop, In the Car on my phone, and now on my tablet.
This is part two of the earmworms French Course. This course uses a music background with a native and English speaker going over French phrases and words. The course tends to provide a sentence, in English, and then in French and then breaks down all the words in the sentence, and the pronunciations for the words. The course is similar to the other earworms courses, and if you liked one of the others I imagine you'll like this one.
It's not a bad idea, although the tunes are not that great, I find that I can recall some of the sentences. A good supplement for learning, or for a quick fix before heading on holiday.
Earworms is a great way to learn a Language. A friend gave me volume one from a disc and I wanted to get volume two I thought it was great that I could buy it and not need this disc. However I do not think that the audio quality is as good as it was on the disc.If I had have known maybe I would have brought the disc as when you want to learn a language it has to be clear. I really recommend earworms for learning the basics in a language. I would give 5 out of 5 but due to the bad audio from the download I can't.

I have Vol 1. and was waiting patiently for Vol 2. Worth the wait. I listen to it on my iPod while I workout at the gym. Music is good.
I really like the earworms french. I listen to it while I'm at the gym. I really like that it is done to music, it helps make it more interesting to listen to.
like it a lot, keep it comming. the repetitions make it work!
"It's worth a 4 star!"
I am not exactly a beginner of the French language, been nibbling on it for years. still i learned a lot of useful stuff from here. it's compact in situations, such as initial meeting, ordering in restaurant, etc etc so it is helpful. the only thing that detracts from it is the female's French pronunciation. i believe she's French because her english is totally french accented, but her French seems to have a british accent.
"No Chapter Markers?"
I enjoy and will benefit from the content. There are some phrasings in Vol 2 that seem to be in conflict with information from Vol 1. This does cause some confusion to folks like me who are hoping to pick up just enough French to get by for a few days in France.
The addition of chapter markers, as found in Volume 1, would be very helpful to people trying to learn on the go. Trying to move back the begining of a chapter while driving is difficult, if not dangerous, without chapter markers.
"Pleasant way to learn"
I enjoy this, but I don't know how much it will actually help me.
"great way to learn a language while you work. "
if you are an audible learner then this is the way to learn. I loved the jazz in the background which is very soothing
"Fun language learning"
I very much enjoyed listening to this as a part of brushing up my high school French. I'm not sure it would be as useful to a truly beginner language learner. I liked the narrators and the background music.
The slightly bizarre aspect of this installment is that the vocabulary seems to be geared toward flirting with flight attendants, ordering cognac, and picking up someone in a bar.
Rapid French can work for anyone. It can work for a beginner, a refresher and adding knowledge.
I've found this book to be very helpful. The background music also helped me to relax yet remained focused on what's being said. It's really good that you can actually follow chapters with the attached PDFs. I'm sure with daily practice I'll be speaking like a native in no time.
"Sipping on French."
Its like sipping on French after you have listened to it a number of times you soon start to know before hand what is coming next. A pleasing way to learn a language.
