Hearing the text at normal pace in French is truly invaluable. A similar trick is to use film, but this mp3 format is much more handy and helps you attune your ear - without being able to see the speakers' mouths.
The text is clearly presented in a thoroughly convincing conversational style. I was inspired to work more, and harder!
This audio should definitely be used in short bursts of one session at a time, if the listener is to gain full benefit.
The serious intermediate student would do well to utilise this project. Most products are aimed at the aboslute beginner market, but this edition is perfectly aimed at its target audience!
This is hopeless as a way of learning French, and irritating generally. The presenters spend much of the time flirting, in English. The most surreal bit was when they sing along to the Can Can tune, going Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da hahahahaha! as if they think this is the height of wit, and what one wants when one is trying to learn a language.
Stop trying to be cool. Do not bother with sound effects, which add nothing. Think about users, who actually want to learn French, and do not want a tenth rate comedy programme. Did you actually listen to this before you published it? What were you thinking?
Anyone who is prepared to read a script rather than giggle.
The bloke who says "What's next?" before every item in the list of vocabulary.
Can't access lesson notes using iPad
Take care if you feel you need lesson notes are well as audio
"Enjoyed the conversations"
I would have prefer to have the subtitles
said from French to English instead of both ways, it's less confusing
"Best way to learn French"
I tried several audio French language instruction methods and Pimsleur is far and away the best. I started with level one and I have had college French classes many years ago. My husband has never had any French instruction and started as well. We both love it! Great for a refresher or a true beginner. Am continuing on to level two. Highly recommended!
