Italian Level 1 Lessons 16-20 builds on material taught in prior units. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension and on learning to speak Italian. These lessons contain reading lessons designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent. Great course, but PDF in zip file will not open
Where does Italian Phase 1, Unit 16-20 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
First audio book, got app and downloads fine. Course is very good. BUT the reader refuses to open on iPad or ms surface. I have adobe reader, I open many other PDFs, I can open on a laptop fine and emailed to iPad but this will not open. It wants to save to one drive, which I have, but when I click to open it asks to open in another programme, drop box, which I try, but it will not open.

Amazing progress in Italian
Cannot recommend more these courses, amazing natural progress and learning!
I learned already how to speak quite fluently Spanish and now into Italian
Just a suggestion when starting learning languages like IT, SP, FR, DE or even Chinese Mandarin: before embarking on PIMSLEUR, go first with the Paul Noble’s i. Learn ... (complete course) and ii. Next Steps audiobooks (both available on Audible) - you will get a stronger foundation then if you start by PIMSLEUR directly
Personally, I was then able to skip the first three audiobooks on PIMSLEUR Italian 1 (this started at lessons 16-20) [being Portuguese, in Spanish was even possible for me to jump directly to the start of PIMSLEUR level 2]
Another insight: there are 5 PIMSLEUR levels for each language - here on Audible you can only get the first 3 levels (there is a specific PIMSLEUR App where you can get the upper 2 levels, but they are more expensive than though Audible)
