After the last fiasco, Sally gives up. She'll never find a dom of her own. Instead, the computer whiz is job hunting in between bending the law - just a bit - to unearth the bastards who'd enslaved her friends. The clueless cops and feds obviously need her help.
FBI special agents Galen and Vance have waited to play with Sally for a long time. When the mischievous submissive returns to the exclusive Shadowlands BDSM club after an ugly relationship, the experienced co-tops are more than pleased. Realizing she's suppressing deep-seated emotions, the powerful doms push her - only to find that her sassiness conceals a scarred and vulnerable heart.
Shaken by the unexpected emotional exposure, Sally flees the demanding Masters and the Shadowlands. And that should be the end of that, since both Galen and Vance have reasons not to seek a long-term relationship, especially with a submissive who doesn't want what they can give. But when a brutal attack by her ex-dom sends Sally into their home, the two agents are driven to protect her. To help her. To take her under command. Falling in love isn't in the plans.
But the little imp brings light into their lives, and just as they begin to want more, they discover she's hacked into an organization that delights in burning people alive. Now more than hearts are on the line, and Sally's submission could save her life.

From Sally's misery and heartbreak to complete happiness this story has to be my favourite of all the Shadowlands books. Sally certainly finds her happiness in this suspenseful, intense and beautiful book. A definite must read for any fans of BDSM and the Shadowlands series.
Noah and Erin are superb the emotion they evoke in the narration had me laughing and tearing up. I can not imagine any other narrator's doing a better job of giving extra to an already brilliant book. I would give more than five stars if I was able.
"Ok, definitely not the best in the series"
This was far from my favorite, of the series. The story just wasn't that exciting. Maybe it was because it had such a similar theme as some of the others and it was totally predictable.
I love the plan for the dual narration but it does not come across smooth, at all. It has a happy ending and the characters suffer their own emotional roller-coasters but ,seriously, it didn't come across genuine and didn't touch me as other books have.

"Thrilling yet hot and erotic!!! "
I absolutely love this series.... each book has almost every element ranging from thrilling suspense to uber hot scenes filled with love and erotic play. Noah and Erin did a phenomenal job narrating and bring all the scenes to life. I only hope that there are more installments to come... Pretty please Mistress Cherise 💞
"Awesome as usual!!!"
You will never go wrong with a Shadowlands book. It would be something to actually have a BDSM club in Tampa called Shadowlands. Of course all these great characters would have to come along too. AWESOME series. Masters of the Shadowlands!!!
"Outstanding read, so entertaining"
Cherise Sinclair's books are always weonderful and this book is as great addition to the series.
The narrators did a great job with their performances.
what a way to end the nasty Harvest animals...... and the LOVE between the three heros, once again Cherise delivered a GREAT BOOK
This one kept me entertained right up to the last word. I didn't want it to end. The narration sucked me in so much, I thought I was standing right beside the characters.
"Another winner fir Cherise!"
Yes, the narrators add personality to the storylines.
Sally was my favourite. We've heard about her through all the books, it was nice to have a story devoted to her.
Noah is becoming one of my favourite narrators
I wouldn't say that. It;s nice to break the listening up
As always Cherise has put together subs and doms in an amazing story! Love her work can't wait for the next one!
I loved this book it was fantastic from the beginning of the story to the end the story was brilliant and the narrative was amazing two thumbs up.
"If Only scores"
I liked this book because I like anything about the Shadowlands. it's not totally believable but I like the chemistry between Sally and the guys.
