The UFO enigma has been part of our culture since the 1940s and is building to a worldwide explosion of acceptance today. Now, as governments around the world open their files and records on internal UFO investigations, the US remains steadfast in its denial of interest in the UFO issue. As more of the world's population accepts the possibility of an extraterrestrial presence, the demand is building for disclosure from the United States.
Using newly declassified and Freedom of Information Act documents, eyewitness accounts, interviews, and leaked documents being authenticated, The Presidents and UFOs details the secret history of UFOs and the corresponding presidential administrations. Starting in 1941 with the Roosevelt administration, author Larry Holcombe examines the startling discoveries facing a president preoccupied by WWII, the explosion of UFO sightings during the Truman years, first contact during the Eisenhower administration, and the possibility of a UFO connection to the Kennedy assassination. In 1975, the Nixon administration came very close to admitting that UFOs exist by funding a documentary by Robert Emenegger. Almost 40 years later, this book will examine Emenegger's findings. For the first time, the involvement of all of the modern presidents up to and including President Obama, and the rise and then fall of their influence on UFO issues, are told in one story that is an integral part of the fascinating UFO tapestry.

A must read for anyone interested in ufo's regardless of your level of understanding.
Disclosure can only benefit humanity and is only kept from us from the people who fear positive human development on every level. Control won't last long and the truth will be out.
The subject maybe controversial and the book could have gone down the route of simply listing facts and figures on a timeline; but it didn't. It presents the facts in a very engaging way by placing the events in their historical perspective and giving the facts as reported.
The fact that Nixon was an incredibly popular President and appeared to have a keen interest in the UFO phenomenon. And then events overtook him...
Overall yes. He tried the odd 'voice acting' here and there but overall he carried the narrative.
Not really that sort of book. Overall, as with other books of the UFO genre, it raises questions of the 'establishment' on both sides of the belief fence.
Could Governments really conceal such events for such a long time without someone blowing the whistle? Read/listen and you decide.
This is an interesting history of UFO encounters since WWII. You can choose to believe it and, if you read this book then the assumption can be made that you either do or are open minded.
Either way, the writing is clear, the reading is excellent and the arguments are intriguing if not entirely convincing.
As Mulder's poster in the x-files stated:
I WANT TO BELIEVE.

"Informational and entertaining"
I would recommend this book to anyone fascinated by this phenomenon
I liked the framework of the history with Presidential relationship
"Good but not great"
The book is narrated well and well written but the facts and case studies are old and already quite well known. Unless you are a die-hard conspiracy fan, this book will disappoint you.
"The most magnificent book ever"
I have been always I believer of extra-terrestrial and after listening this book I'm most certainly convinced that our U.S. Government is concealing the truth from the general public because of magnitude of the matter in question, I believe that it will come out eventually in the next 15 to 20 years, I'm 46 now I'm I hope to be alive when that happens, Thank you Joao Batista.
"Very informative! "
Enjoyed this book tremendously. It gave me insight and other views.
Narrator wasn't monotone lol
"not a lot of substance"
in addition to sounding like it was written by an old man (it was), it was also only moderately interesting for the first few parts and then i lost interest. and i love alien stuff!
