Summary

In the history of the modern world, there have been few characters more sadistic, sinister, and deeply demented as Baron Ungern-Sternberg. fascinating tale

brilliant book about a fascinating character and time. thoroughly enjoyed it. hard to prove all the facts? yes, of course, but still a very good read (listen) full of interesting information on the culture and history of the time and place. most of it new to me.
