God gave us emotions to experience life, not destroy it! Lysa TerKeurst admits that she, like most women, has had experiences where others bump into her happy and she comes emotionally unglued. We stuff, we explode, or we react somewhere in between. What do we do with these raw emotions? Is it really possible to make emotions work for us instead of against us? Yes, and in her usual inspiring and practical way, Lysa will show you how. Filled with gut-honest personal examples and biblical teaching, Unglued will equip you to:

"Unglued is Unreal"
This book could apply to anyone who is looking at their life and want to improve their reactions and behaviors to everyday living.
"Great book! Enjoying it very much."
I am enjoying this book so much that I bought it in audio and both in paperback and on my kindle too. It is one I will read over and over. It is as if it was written just for me.
I am very pleased that Lisa read her own book for the audio, as I enjoy hearing the authors narrating their own books instead of someone else.
Lisa is so real and honest in this book, as she is in Made to Crave (another one of her books that is fabulous.
Keep up the good work, Lisa. I really enjoy your books.
"Totally helpful eye-opening read!"
I love how Lysa is so open to sharing with us all about her short comings and struggles in order to better help us in the same areas. If you are an emotional person (exploder or stuffer) this book helps to open our eyes and point us to Christ! Definitely worth the read and I know it can help anyone who reads it. Lysa also does a great job reading it and she is able to get you into the emotion she is feeling because she is also the author. I recommend to anyone looking to become more grounded in their faith!
"Holds Together Well"
I have recommended this audiobook to several of my friends already. I am on my second listen and appreciate the sound biblical reminders the book offers when emotions rise and my own thoughts begin to prevail. It has served as a wonderful redirecting of my thoughts back to God's perspective.
I liked Lysa's vulnerability which she reveals throughout the book. I do not believe I would have stuck with the subject matter had I not believed she actually lived life like the rest of the world.
Of course it is much more enjoyable to listen to the author herself reading how she felt in those particular moments she is sharing. I think the impact can be greater on the listener.
It brought up some memories and examples within my own mind of my life and how much I have to be ready to practice "soul integrity" as she calls it - Godly honesty all of the time in every relationship. I was particularly drawn to her explanation and examples of putting up barriers vs. setting boundaries. I did smile and relate numbers of times with her examples.
I think this is a REAL girl's book. I would recommend it to any girl/woman who wants to be honest with herself and others and follow a God of honesty and truth.
"Lack of information and focused thoughts"
What a disappointment.
I was really excited to take in this book and hoped for some nuggets of knowledge. Unfortunately, it's more of a collection of random thoughts with the author explaining that everyone has emotions, they take over us a lot.
Her answers come from the bible, but they're not really answers as much as more thoughts she tries to tie back to her situation.
First time I want to ask for my money back.
"Listen, re listen, and then listen again"
I run to this book every time I have an issue with my husband, mother, siblings, friends, teachers, really anyone that I wrestle with. Lysa gives such amazing advice on how to handle both the everyday and the tough situations with grace and mercy.
"a book for those who don't have it altogether"
loved every minute of it. cried like a baby during the epilogue. great touching book.
I listened non-stop! Prompted a self evaluation but gave insight on how to do it by using Christian principles and scriptures. I also enjoyed the Author's voice. I will read/listen to more of Lisa TerKeurst's books.
"Just what I needed"
Thank you Lysa for your very real, raw, and honest personal stories that sounded
much like some of my own. 😊 This book was very encouraging!
"A Book of Grace For All God's Unglued"
I have listened to this book at least once a week since I purchased it, and recommend it to my clients who believe in God.
I have since bought the rest of her books.
Lysa has an honest, but humorous approach for applying God's word to situations we all experience in daily life, and reminds us of the grace of his love for us all, even in our unglued moments.
I Iove her narration, and wish she had been the narrator for all of her books.
Hope she is busy writing more!
