Toddler a**holery is a normal part of human development - not unlike puberty, except this stage involves throwing food on the floor and taking swings at people who pay your way in life. For parents of toddlers, it's a "you better laugh so you don't cry" period.
Bunmi Laditan's hilarious, satirical guide to toddlerhood offers parents instant (and very welcome) comic relief - along with the very good news that It's Not Your Fault. Chapters cover the cost of raising a toddler, feeding your toddler, potty training, tantrums, how to manage the holidays, and "how not to die inside". Parents will see themselves in the very funny sections on taking your toddler to restaurants ("One parent will spend their time walking your toddler around the restaurant and outside like a cocker spaniel, while the other, luckier parent will eat alone."), things you thought you'd never say that you now say as a parent of a toddler ("I can tell you're pooping because your eyes are watering."), and how to order pizza ("Spend $40 on pizza delivery. Listen to your toddler cry for 30 minutes about how the pizza is all wrong. Watch your toddler take a small bite of crust. Google 'can anger give you a heart attack?' Start the bedtime routine.").
Laditan's wildly funny voice has attracted hundreds of thousands of fans of Honest Toddler on social media; here she speaks parent to tired parent, easing the pains and challenges of raising toddlers with a hefty dose of adult humor and wit.

"Nothing BUT the truth"
Anyone who has a toddler currently or not too long ago can relate to this. It's laugh out loud funny and doesn't take itself too seriously. Highly recommended!
The honesty and fresh perspective.
The authors voice
Too not take this phase of child development too seriously
I needed this and I've been moming for 15 years. Every mom needs this book.
"BEST BOOK EVER for MAMAS!!"
I hate reading and always have. I know that sounds horrible... But this book is so hilarious and so REAL and so on point!! I wish everyone in the world could hear it or read. It's that damn good. Parent or not.
"laugh out loud"
This book gave a funny realistic interpretation of raising a toddler and whereas not everything applied to me I appreciate that I'm not the only mommy who feels overwhelmed at times.
"A guide on how to survive through the day"
Loved it! Can relate to every single thing about toddlers presented by author. Must read!
"New Parents should listen or read this."
This book is a great source to get your emotional strength up. It explains why children do what they do and why to understand why to have patience.
"laugh out loud!"
If you have twins like I do then double everything she says and laugh twice as hard!
"The PERFECT depiction of what I'm going thru now!"
This book described, to the "T" what I'm going thru with my almost 3 year old "asshole". However, I must say, even if I did not have any children, I would find this book hilarious anyway. The writer reminds me of myself and the things I say all the time, but I'm constantly judged for. It's refreshing to read someone's experience and know that I'm NOT alone.
"read it! listen to it!"
brilliant, hilarious and worth every penny. we laughed so hard, while our toddler yelled " I don't like this turn it off"
"Wrong narrator choice"
A non-bitchy narrator, couldn't make it past the first 30 seconds. This type of satire has to be read in a specific way or it comes off as if the writer actually hates kids.
Not an audio book.
She made it sound like the writer hated kids and missed the entire "tongue-in-cheek" nature of this book. From the very beginning she sounded very bitchy, and made the author sound like she was blaming everything that was wrong with her life on her child. I couldn't listen pasts the introduction!
Anger and sadness. I wanted this to be a fun, tongue in cheek book about how kids can be annoying but we still love them.
Pick your narrators carefully.
