In her latest book, The Universe Has Your Back, New York Times best-selling author Gabrielle Bernstein teaches listeners how to transform their fear into faith in order to live a divinely guided life. Each story and lesson in the book guides listeners to release the blocks to what they most long for: happiness, security, and clear direction. The lessons help listeners relinquish the need to control so they can relax into a sense of certainty and freedom. Listeners will learn to stop chasing life and truly live. Making the shift from fear to faith will give listeners a sense of power in a world that all too often makes them feel utterly powerless. When the tragedies of the world seem overwhelming, this book will help guide them back to their true power.
Gabrielle says, "My commitment with this book is to wake up as many people as possible to their connection to faith and joy. In that connection, we can be guided to our true purpose: to be love and spread love. These words can no longer be cute buzz phrases that we merely post on social media. Rather, these words must be our mission. The happiness, safety, and security we long for lies in our commitment to love."
When listeners follow this path, they'll begin to feel a swell of energy move through them. They will find strength when they are down, synchronicity and support when they're lost, safety in the face of uncertainty, and joy when they are otherwise in pain. Follow the secrets revealed in this book to unleash the presence of your power and know always that The Universe Has Your Back.

Although I am not particularly spiritual, I do believe in an energy that is bigger than me that has a hand in the way things unfold. I have yet to name it but it exists alongside me. Your book has made me see that everything is about our connection to everything and each other. Thank you for the journey you have taken me on, you have given voice and structure to the things I already know deep within me. I am learning every day to release and surrender judgement, control and expectations. My role here is part of this too, the ripple effect that allows us all to lift each other up in love rather than tear each other down in fear. I am finding my path in this role and your book has allowed me to see I can allow it to happen. Thank you for your light Gabby. Sarah Alford x
I love this book because of the truth and genuine experience behind it. I just listened to it but look forward to putting it into practice. I chose 5 stars for all sections because the author is talking to me and she wants me to make the changes she has made. For me that makes it 5 star. I only just heard about her and I love her humility and humanness. Teachers no longer have to hide who they are and what they struggle with 🙌 it's inspiring xxx
it is an incredible book, reminding you of the basics that you might know but have forgoton. we are love, and we come from love.
I recently received some bad news and was struggling to cope with it. My sister recommended I download this book. It has kept me positive throughout and has helped me to look at things differently. If it wasn't for this book, I feel I could've easily slipped into depression, instead, I trust that things will work out the way they are meant to.
I'm an avid reader in this genre, and although I have it covered, I'm always looking for a spark of new inspiration, a new way to view things, something to stir me. Gabrielle Bernstein kept popping up in my face, although I was never really drawn to her. Finally decided to give it a go, and although I tried, I couldn't even get past the first few chapters. She's just reciting the same old thing, with nothing new to add, an her excessive use of platitudes and hackneyed new-age language just made me cringe over and over. And this is my thing!
What did I like best? I guess she has a story and seems humble enough.
No, I love this genre. I just know to be careful because everyone wants to write one of these books and be a best seller. Yet, some people truly have a unique view, a remarkable story, something new to add. Bernstein most definitely does not. I would put her in the category of thinking she has every right to a best seller by being cute and milking the genre.
Hackneyed. Un-inspired. Un-original.
Don't bother, really. There are WAAAAAY better books in this genre. Sorry Gabby, hate to be negative, but I wasted time and money on you so I'd rather help others from doing the same.
I was guided to this book and listened to the universe. As always, I am so glad I let go and trusted I would find what I needed.
It gave me moments of clarity and realisation that will stay with me forever.
Thank you, deeply :-)
Although very interested in spirituality, manifestation and positive thinking, I had never read any of Gaby's work before. This, my first experience of her work, has been a hugely motivating experience. Her honest and open hearted guidance is relevant and real, and her words and lessons are easy to follow. This is the perfect book to return anyone to their light and power. I look forward to reading more of her work.
Thank you, Gabrielle for this beautiful book that reminded me to be humble and spread the love and kindness even my darkest moments and thoughts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
"Keep Forgetting You're Not All Alone?"
I'd hit a brick wall, going about 180 mph. Three neighbors moved out, with all that noise, clamoring, moving vans, hustle. There were raccoons in the attic. The landlords decided that NOW would be a great time to fix up the places, complete with industrial tools, laughing, trucks, mayhem. It's still going on, and I work nights, so I'm completely sleep-deprived. And have a short fuse, am liable to burst into tears if you look at me cross-eyed. Oh, and then the raccoons decided that IN the walls was where they really wanted to be. Given that sleep is on the most basic of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, self-actualization and "The Universe" seemed like pie in the sky concepts.
But I was desperate so, despite its verrrry short content time, I gave "The Universe Has Your Back" a chance.
Holy cow, am I so glad I did!
Here you'll find the Holy Moment, living with certainty, and my favorite: a 24-hour challenge to yourself to find the love and live miracles.
Once I stopped whining about how very tired I was and devoted myself to looking for the good things, the things that were going right, once I decided to stop snapping at my husband and start letting him in, the miraculous happened:
I. Was. Happy.
Even the overnight security guard said I was *glowing*. Yes, that word, and trust me, I felt it.
Are you stuck? Do you judge other people, judge yourself, harshly? Is fear something that you just can't seem to let go of?
Give this book a try. You'll find more than mindfulness/meditation suggestions. You'll receive guidelines, exercises, mantras, that you can hold onto, no matter how desperate you feel. And Gabby is so incredibly human. At a spiritual retreat, when asked: What Do You Want? She says she wants a snack, a nap, no, coffee would be nice. Whom amongst us is not taken down by the everyday harshness of life, fatigue, hesitation?
Worth the time, worth the credit. And by the way? You're worth it too...!
"Time for a Shift"
This book showed up for me right before the 2016 Presidential Election. Instead of dwelling on the outcome post election, I found myself excited for possibility in creating more light and love, being a stand for others, gaining a new sense of empowerment to make a bigger impact. The lessons and prayers offered by Gabby in this book gave me access to a new way of being, leading with love, joy and faith in the Universe. I am confident and ready to step up to my higher calling as a leader and a teacher.
"Rehash of other her other books "
The content is good, but if you have read her past books and watched any of her lectures you will hear the same content. For example, the owl symbol story is used here yet again. It was disappointing.
This is Gabrielle Bernstein at her best. Not only did her latest book flow perfectly, but her narration was so in tune, it was as if she was sitting next to me and guiding me through the welcomed whirlwind that was my thoughts and emotions.
"this book changed my life"
this book teaches changing your thoughts from fear to love and shows concrete examples of real world applications. after i started reading it i immediately saw positive shifts in my life. recommend.
"Another game changer from Gabby!"
I was eagerly awaiting the release of this new book and it did not disappoint. I felt a shift the moment it began. Gabby's words encourage you to see the world through the eyes of love and let the Universe do the rest. I look forward to continuing my spiritual practice with Gabby's awesome guidance.
"Not what i expected"
The book talked more about her greatness then anything else. I felt annoyed while reading.
This is a perfect example of spiritual materialism at its most shallow. What frustrates me about this type of work is that there is limited understanding of "negative" and "positive" which has a lot of ego agenda in it. With law of attraction type work there is always this assumption that if shitty things happen then you can make the bad feelings go away by using your mind to see it differently and attract only "awesome" positive things into your life. That bypasses deep inner capacity to be with a whole spectrum of life experience. If anyone is truly searching for spiritual transformation I would recommend the work of AH Almass and the Diamond Approach which is beautiful work along the lines of inner capacity to be with what is rather than trying to manipulate. Best of luck on your Journey.
"I loved this book"
I loved this book. Ive listened to it several times just to let it all sink in. I love what she has to say and I love that her voice is pleasant to listen to and doesnt distract from what she's saying like some audiobooks. I loved this book so much that I went out and bought two of her other books. This book is life changing. I recommend it to everyone.
"Gabby's love was poured into this book, and I felt it to my core"
This was exactly what I needed, when I needed it. I ordered a hard copy of this book, but wanted to hear the audio version because it was narrated by the author.
I loved how genuine she was, and how her voice changed during beautiful moments in the book. It for me very emotional and also very motivated to lean on love.
This is my first Gabby Bernstein book, and I am so grateful that this was my start. I look forward to seeing her when she comes to my town for a book signing.
Thank you, Gabby, for showing me how to be the light.
