The cancer of "political correctness" has not only helped to form a society of insincere, oversensitive, and underachieving people - it has deprived individuals of the joy of living authentically and boldly, the life the late Henry David Thoreau called people to live when he implored us to move "confidently in the direction of our own dreams". Well, living authentically and boldly has never been a problem for Larry Winget. Known as the Pitbull of Personal Development®, Larry is not afraid to tell it like it is about what it takes to be successful. And he's also not afraid of skewering some of those well-known shibboleths of personal development - like the law of attraction and the path of "effortless success" that are peddled by so many motivational speakers.
In this program Larry will take on the political correctness that has infected our society and the personal development industry. And he'll outline an effective "back to the basics" approach to help you be more successful. Larry still believes that hard work and excellence are the keys to success and communicates that like no other person on the planet can!
Larry makes you think. He makes you uncomfortable. He offers common-sense solutions that are impossible to argue with. On top of all that, he is hilarious.
Here's just a few things you'll learn in this unforgettable program:

Family are away for a couple of days so decided to decorate the kitchen, I'm not a fan of decorating so to make better use of the time I downloaded and listened to this while I did it.
Delivered in his usual style and packed with good stuff we should all know plus a few gems. It's always good to be told straight.
I was surprised (I'm not sure why though) by how much he genuinely cares. Not soft is not the same as not caring.
Well worth a listen.
"Shame on Larry"
I am a huge fan of Larry...but this book is just a review of his earlier stuff, same information, same thoughts, same stories...nothing new here...if it's your first Larry book, it's perfect, but if you have heard his earlier works...SKIP IT...this is just a cash grab....
"No nonsense approach"
This is pretty high on my list because I hate bs and love straight to the point conversations
We are in control of everything that happens to us.
Yes, delivered it more like a conference than a book.
This book was good but went over every aspect of life not just business. I also got another one and that one was almost like this one. Not sure there is anymore to offer from him, he makes it pretty simple, there isn't much else to say but you fix it or your stupid.
Well one thing I can say is that Larry IS pretty straight up. Not that it bothers me, but be aware if you are easily hurt by words. The lessons he preaches here are simple rules to live by. They are basic and oftentimes you think you already know them so why bother listening on...but the nice thing is that he makes you think when was the last time you actually lived by those simple and basic rules? You might realize that you kind of have strayed away from some of them without even noticing.
It's kind of a refresher on basic life and I liked it. But I'm the kind of guy who loves a bit more details and the book was a little bit too short for my taste. I would have loved some more details, some more real life examples. Some chapters were a bit too short, but maybe it's just me. I'm sure his style will grow on me. Will I be following Larry and reading/listening further to him? Definitely!
"glad I bought it!!!"
I never read the book so high. it is perfect for every person to enjoy. and with Larry Winget the author narrating, it makes the book so much more enjoyable.
Please buy this book and listen to it. Rhen listen to it again!
"Can't argue with Larry."
Good tips for life and dealing with real issues. I even took notes. no book on this one, btw.
it's good to be Larry. Forsure really looking forward to the next book and hope to meet him one day
"YOU GOTTA LOVE THE TRUTH THIS GUY SPEAKS!"
This is Old School at it's best! Larry breaks it down in old fashioned wisdom. If more people followed the politically incorrect system our society would have fewer problems. I loved this book...I was raised this way. Thank you Larry!!!
"Could listen to this all day. Thanks Larry!"
Larry Winget is my older brother from another mother. Can't get enough of his thinking. Pick up this book and make sure you also get People are idiots and I can Prove It. The only success book you need. And send him a bottle of bourbon as a thank you when you're done.
