Marianne Williamson is a great storyteller and she explains so well the philosophy behind a Course in Miracles. Well worth reading and thinking about! She has a great voice too.
"There really is only one problem..."
'We might think we have 22 different problems, but we really only have one problem - our disconnect from our god' - Marianne Williamson.
I found that in this audio book Marianne oscillates between talking specifically about dealing with change (uncertainty) and between a general commentary on living well!
I personally found it very insightful. I like how she makes sure people see her as a 'down to earth' individual who struggles herself, at times, just like everyone else, through sharing of personal experiences and stories!
"Someone tell Marianne Williamson to slow down!"
Yes, The author/narrator needs to slow down. She may need to consider having someone else narrate her books because she always speaks to fast.
SLOW down so we can listen, hear and absorb your good books
Christianity meets the metaphysical world. What a concept. New Age folks may be disappointed but I found this book informative and interesting. I do not agree with all of her assessments but did enjoy it and learned a thing or two.
"Stealth Christian Course in Miracles"
I should have been warned by the way god was mentioned in several of the points this author advocates, but I wasn't. I began listening to this book thinking that it was advocating a spiritual, but not dogmatically Christian way of approaching change. When the author said in the preface to the book that her writing by a "Course in Miracles," something never mentioned in the reviews or summaries of this book, I knew I had wasted my money. If you are a Christian, you may find this book satisfactory, but for me, a Unitarian-Universalist with no particular dogma to my beliefs, this book was too heavy on the Christian message. This is unfortunate, because many elements of the author's message could be framed in a more eccumenical way that emphasizes the spiritual without equating spiritual with Christian. Change affects all of us, and if you set dogma aside, the ways that different religions deal with change are more alike than different. It is too bad the author did not recognize this or describe it.
Marianne teaches practical ways to be a miracle and receive miracles in our life. Anyone on their life journey and aware that they are on a journey would benefit from reading "The Gift of Change". Marianne is a student of "A Course in Miracles" and she is able to leach it with clear examples and guidance.

She broke down spiritually in a way I can understand it. I listen to it everyday. I don't know if it is because I like content or I just like her voice
