Most authors have the ambition of producing a best-selling Kindle book. However, most fall short of this worthy goal simply because their manuscript lacks the necessary ingredients for it to be a best seller on Kindle. Shooting the narrator
Absolutely, Especially if its the same narrator
He read like he was reading to two year olds having consumed a case of beer
Sold on its title - perspective authors drawn in by a misleading title which says little about kindle and a lot about how to paraphrase writing for dummies.
"The Absolute Basics of Writing Anything on Kindle"
This might be a good book for someone who has never thought about writing anything before and who doesn't know the first thing about the Kindle program or writing in general... though there are many better options.
No, it has merely made me want to find other and better books in this area.
The narrator had a strange, clipped style of speaking that not only provided a herky-jerky effect to the writing, but highlighted the strange word choice that was frequently employed.
This book made me feel disappointed, as it is a topic that could be well-explored but was sadly not really all that well done.
There are useful bits of information here and there, but as a whole this book is covering extremely rudimentary ground and it does so in a manner that lacks style and substance. If you have never read anything about working on a book before in your life, this might be a good way to ease into the subject. If you haven't spent any time at all thinking about writing, then maybe tips like 'Before you start, think about things like what is the story?' might help. But if you are at such a rudimentary level that these ideas are helpful to you, the odds that you will be writing a 'bestseller' are very low.
This book should have been called 'Some of the Most Rudimentary Aspects About Writing Your First Ever Book and Putting it on the Kindle Marketplace.' That would have eliminated a lot of the criticisms I felt about it.
