The Art of Influence will make you think twice about everything you've ever learned about influence. As Chris Widener's inspiring story reveals, it's not something you "do" to other people but rather something that starts with how you shape and transform your own life. Forget about manipulation and slick fast-talking; The Art of Influence teaches that your ability to influence others begins from within.

"Has nothing to do with persuasion and influence."
This is a self help book on becoming a better person. Great but not what the doctor ordered.
"Really enjoyed it!"
Nice story and to the point. Chris Widener teaches us the four Golden Rules!
What i really liked is that the author summarizes the lessons at the end!!
Dislike - possibly the voice. It was good but it seemed a bit childish for the age of the characters in the book.
I recommend this book and audio to just about anyone. One of my Favorite books.
Rating this because I love the way the lesson was told. In a story that was interesting to hear. Almost to the point of experiencing it your self.
"Powerful listen to at least 10x"
I had listened to this years ago but didn't hear the message because I was too busy looking for how to formats to training & personal development.
So I personally reached out to one of my Multi-Millionaire Mentors & asked him for some recommendations on how to stay focused & produce the results in a capable of doing.
He mentioned this book so I purchased it & listened to it with "New Ears" again for the first time & there's some of the most powerful concepts shared through story telling hat will do a far greater job of impacting your unconscious mind in this HR audio than you will get from a tactical how to training on the subject of influence...
This is a great audiobook to retrain your brain unconsciously & quickly through listening a few times.
I recommend at least 10x due to the short length of the audio & because of the format (story telling) you'll notice a change in your approach of you follow the steps I shared now...
"This book is truly amazing!"
I loved this book! I love how it teaches you principal and not trickery; how to be influential and not persuasive. I definitely recommend it!
"Great story-- effective principles"
I loved how they gave you a multi-level lesson in a single story. It was very easy to follow and the lessons were quite simple.
"Gives great advice."
I really enjoyed this because it was presented in a story. I love the 4 rules. I need to frame and post these rules at home and in my business to always keep in my mind.
I would recommend this book to be read in a 5th grade classroom. It is very elementary, and only brushes every so slightly on a few topics of leadership/influence. You're much better off reading a book such as 'How to Win Friends & Influence People'. Though, this would be a good, cheesy little book to give to your child to learn the very basics of influence. I regret the purchase.
near very top
any Zig Zigler books.
Not prior to this one.
Influencing & winning others
Easy to listen to
"like a teenager's guide to nothing"
seems like it was written by a teenager. content is of very low quality. A waste of money. If you are looking for a good book on influence listen to "Maximum influence" its just about the total opposite of this book.
