I am a paediatric occupational therapist so much (but not all!) of the content was revision for me, however, I think it is an outstanding book that I will be recommending to parents and relatives of children who have autism. She covers a wide range of issues in a friendly and easy to listen to manner, giving a generous insight into her own experiences of family life with her children. I was glad to have some aspects brought back to the forefront of my mind and think about more deliberately. Thankyou!

"wonderful and imformative"
my 5 year old son is on the spectrum. i found myself rewinding many sections because i liked them so much. I've read many books and the thing i enjoyed most about this book is the positivity and focus on changing the parents attitude and preception of their child. it was a wonderful read and recommend
"Good information with a helpful perspective,"
I found the book to be informative and encouraging overall.
The Author is quite confident in her perspective. Sometimes this is inspiring, but at other times I found it off putting.
"Everything I needed to hear"
Coming from a time of recent diagnosis and much uncertainty, this book provided valuable insights in considering the perspective of my autistic child, and helped to transform the natural grief and mourning I was experiencing into a place of acceptance and optimism. I really enjoyed learning more about the sensory factors that can impact children on the spectrum. As a primary health care provider, I found that this book is equally beneficial to both parents and professionals. I requested that my husband read it, who stated that he also enjoyed it. We agreed that it provided a much needed sense of hope during a time when we had so many unanswered questions.
"Great For Parents & Teachers - Simple & Helpful"
Wonderful insight to dealing with many complexities of a child growing with Autism. Answered many questions and gave good tools to help your child and you work together for a positive future!! A must read for anyone working with children who have Autism.
