Those who have made the decision to homeschool their children have done so out of great love for them and a desire to provide them an excellent education in the context of a warm, enriching home. Yet so many parents (mainly mothers) who have taken up this challenge find the enterprise often full of stress, worry, and anxiety. In this practical, faith-based, and inspirational book, Sarah Mackenzie addresses these questions directly, appealing to her own study of restful learning and her struggle to bring restful learning to her (six) children.

A very encouraging and practically helpful book which I plan to read again and again. Sarah's so easy to listen to. She did make me well up at various points with her wise assurances, which is no bad thing.
"Given me strength to press on & furthered my love for Sarah Mackenzie."
This book is amazing. As a new homeschooling mom (in our 5th week of our 2st homeschool year), I have already come to feel slightly overwhelmed with all there is " to do". The fear creeps up from time to time about whether or not I'll screw up our kids. But, I know the Lord has called me to do this great work. I must continue to trust that He will see it through to completion. I must rest in that.
Thank you, Sarah for reminding me to rest- to trust that when I need Him (which is all the time), He will immediately answer my cry. I can rest assured in that.
"This book is a must have for every homeschool mom!"
I loved this book!! I am preparing to listen to it again as I paint our study room. This book gave wonderful quotes and references. The advice and examples were easily appliable to daily life. The reader (who is also the author) read it beautifully. It was like she was inside my head as she wrote it and it was like talking to a dear friend as she read it.
I loved this book. I was inspired and renewed in my mission to homeschool. This book has helped me remember that I'm on a team with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as I educate my children.
"I will read this book 2-3 times a year."
Sarah Mackenzie reminded me, in the language of a dear friend, of the priorities of teaching. In making evident The Big Picture of Life and Everything, it reminds me why my work is so important and how to channel it to the true, good, and beautiful ends. This is where the "end" and the "means" very simply meet. Our homeschool is all the better for it.
Such a great reminder of why God has us on this journey, including educating our children at home!
"Must read for homeschoolers and caregivers"
I believe that everyone who homeschools, considers it or lives and breathes in general should read this. That bold statement is warranted because there are major myths of homeschooling that could be busted from those who misunderstand it.
A must read for homeschooling parents! I haven't listened to a plethora of audio books but this was definitely one of the easier to listen to as well performance wise which was nice too
I will come back to this from time to time when I need to remember why we do this and need to refocus on living in every beautiful moment.
I've just recently been introduced to Sarah Mackenzie's book and podcast and I am so thankful!
"Refreshment for Christian hs parents"
Refreshing, enlightening, and just what this homeschool mama needed! A book I will return to every year to help me keep my eye on what really matters.
