You can also learn how to stretch properly through 4 basic types of stretches. I wasn't being used to stretching a lot after waking up so this is a very good new habit for me. I will do lot more stretching during the week. This is an excellent book that needs to be read!

I love any content on ways to build a healthier lifestyle and habits. When I first listened to this book and practiced some of the beginner stretches I immediately felt a difference in my overall clarity and energy levels. The stretches provided in this book are absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend this tile to anyone out there looking for a guide on proper stretching methods!
"More important than I thought"
This audiobook definitely opened my eyes to the importance of stretching. From the very beginning, it stressed how vital it can be, not just for our physical endeavors, but for our day to day lives. With a wide range of detailed instructions, including the length of time a person should perform each stretch (something that I find I have difficulty determining), this book provides an extremely thorough overview of stretching as a form of physical activity in and of itself. Too often it is seen as an afterthought, and this book really brought it into the light. There are even routines to follow, so a person getting no started isn't overwhelmed! A great listen overall.

This book teaches you many different ways to stretch out your body, especially specific parts of your body, such as your hamstrings and calves. The exercises are given in step by step instructions so that you can follow along as you listen to the audio file, and includes the amount of time you need to do each and, if applicable, the number of breaths (e.g. holding a particular position for three to five breaths, which is often
also required in yoga).
I have been suffering through some left leg pain lately and a chiropractor told me I need to stretch it out regularly to keep the pain down, so this book is helping me to know which exercises work for that.
"Lots of Great Stretches and Explained Very Nicely"
I jad no problems finding some great new stretches for my lower back and hips. Those areas had been bothering me for quite some time and they are feeling much better after a week of stretching!
The narrator is great and it is easy to figure out exactly what to do with each stretch. My favorite stretches are the knee to chest stretch, cat stretch and the internal hip rotator stretch.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to feel better and be stronger.

"Great for beginning athletes and stretchers"
It goes pretty in depth over how to stretch numerous areas and body parts. Be prepared to invest in a lengthy amount of time to stretch as it will take upwards of an hour to fully optimize your stretches. The book itself does a good job of going over the pros and possible negative things that could happen if you do not utilize stretching which evidently can be a lot of things. I did not know there were different levels of stretching ability. The positive is that you can stretch no matter how athletic or experienced you are. The book is filled with ways to help you increase strength, flexibility, and how to minimize risks.
"Stretches for all shapes and sizes"
Absolutely. I plan to listen to it as many times as necessary to be able to repeat the stretches. Listening to how to perform the stretches makes things easier and more relaxing.
The most memorable moment for me was about back stretching. I have a slipped disc and am hesitant to stretch certain areas of my back. Mackey provides stretches for beginners, and this was helpful.
I think it is something about his tone and understanding. I feel like I paid for an expensive class and he is there helping me through it.

Since this was a self help book about learning the best stretching before exercises, there were no characters. If you want to consider Joshua Mackey or Ace McCloud, then I would say they were both great. Ace for his writing, and Joshua for his narrating.
As usual with all of the books that Joshua Mackey has narrated, he brings excitement and interest to Ace's words.
