"The principles found in Simpleology are the same that I followed to become a three-time Olympian." (Ruben Gonzalez, Olympic athlete, luge)"When I implemented Mark's Simple.ology formula, I immediately tripled my production while simultaneously cutting my working hours. Amazing!" (Frank Rumbauskas, New York Times best-selling author of Never Cold Call Again!)
I found the first few hours interesting but I wondered where the author was going. Eventually the simpleology chapter started, and was over too soon. Yeah, some useful tips, but you can see the 5 points in the book summary without buying it. After looking at their recommended freewebcockpit, I found that for only $97 more dollars, I could get "much more". Disappointing overall.
"Don't buy it"
Allmost 3 hours of bull
The worst I've ever listen to.
"What is the purpose of this book?" This is the question that I asked myself after listening to about 2/3 of it. I feel that it wanders off on a rambling tangent and doesn't deliver any strong actionable output. I think it delivers babble.ology rather than simple.ology
"Avoid this book"
I will add to the choir of angry, puzzled listeners who spent money on this book. It is a waste of both time and money, and owes most of its profit to its title, I'm sure, since its contents don't merit the paper it's printed on.
After nearly 2 hours and I have no idea what the point of this book is.
The longer I listened to this book, I wondered why in the world I had downloaded it, because I couldn't imagine having chosen something this vague or disorganized.
I even went back to re-read the description online a couple of times, and if I hadn't actually heard the name on the recording, I would have sworn a different book had been substituted for the advertised one, as it didn't bear even a passing resemblence to the description.
I only wish I'd read the other reviews before downloading this one. On the other hand, this book is certainly encouraging to all those looking to publish their first book: if this book can get a publishing contract, there's hope for us all!
"For the Simple Minds"
This book would be useful to you if your life is a disorganized mess. The workbook and lessons could help to keep stay on track and get your life back on track. The messages are simple and clear. For those of you that have any common sense, you might find that this book insults your intelligence.
I barely managed to listen all the way through, but was able only because it was relatively short and I was sure there must be a point somewhere. There was some interesting information, though nothing new or earthshattering. I was disappointed by the lengthy attacks on metaphysics. I would rather hear someone tell me what they have, not what they think someone else doesn't. Overall I was quite disappointed.
I have read and listened to many books, especially those that help us tap into out true potential. This was by FAR the most difficult to muddle through. I thought it would never end. The delivery was so elementary and annoying. From the repeated "Bar Rat 1" and "Dave" conversations to the highly irritating transition and pause from one book/chapter to the next. For the first time ever, I disposed of a book. The potential was there, the message was there, the delivery - a nightmare. I do hope the author gives it another try – with consult.
This book had a few good points, but overall he uses the same method of example to illustrate his point time after time, and it seems to cut the topic short and start with a whole new direction. I dont know how he ever got this published. DONT BUY!
