More than Self-Disicpline

I've read many books on time management, goal setting and self-discipline. The onus of these books is often 'just take action and do it!' And when you don't live up to these standards, you feel deflated and think that it was your inability to apply this new habit/system. But perhaps that system wasn't for you personally? This book applies a mindfulness approach to self-discipline, which I felt was refreshing. The biggest take away I got was that we should be kinder to ourselves. And no amount of punishment will make us more disciplined.

This was great!+

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would because for once i got a book which was actually realistic and full of proper good information and not just the usual nonsense repeated over and over.

Was impressed by the value for money. Very good narration, easy to understand, easy to follow, easy to implement and 90% of the advice really does seem to be working for me.

An informative (yet entertaining) listen which really helped me properly understand self-discpline a lot better and really assisted on me sticking to some good new habits, breaking some bad old traits and generally developing more self-discipline in my life, something I had previously struggled with at times.

Phenomenal listen.

phenomenal read. It is definitely a good investment. This isn't a book that one listens to only once, for you to gain the virtue of being able to become self discipline you must listen to this audiobook many times and concentrate on what the author is telling you.

Excellent and well presented

I have listened to many self help and motivational books but i have to admit this is by far the best i have encountered. The material is well presented and the narrator is good, the content is not the usual rehashed same old tired material. The book seems to be logical and methodical in the presentation and instead of repeating the same old stuff he actually imparts a lot of original ideas.

Usually these books start of well by firing you up and then they let you down because they never tell you what you need to do. This book not only tells you how to tackle the problem but also gives you reasons as to why we do what we do and then lays out a plan of attack to use.

excellent i have listened to it once and am on the second round, i have already used some of the ideas and seen the difference it makes in my life.

The Key to Mastering Self Discipline.

There is so much that we demand out of our modern lives to be successful, happy, stable, yet so often we overlook the secret to unlocking self-gratification; Self-discipline.
It’s hard to look for the source of the problem within yourself, however in this audiobook Alison takes you on a reflective journey that allows you to see how you’re hindering yourself and provides effective tools so that you can embrace the world you want to live in. Throughout the audiobook it teaches you how to overcome your short comings and accept that life will never be ‘fair’ so you can excel in the future by identifying your strengths and weaknesses. I’d thoroughly recommend this audiobook to anyone that’s feeling a little listless and apprehensive about approaching the future.

In the audiobook you’ll find practical skills to build dedication and confidence and learn ways to cope when life doesn’t go you that way.
