Summary

When you hear the word retirement, you probably don't imagine yourself scrambling to pay your bills in your golden years. But for too many Americans, that's the fate that awaits unless they take steps now to plan for the future.

Whether you're 25 and starting your first job or 55 and watching the career clock start to wind down, today is the day to get serious about your retirement.

In Retire Inspired, Chris Hogan teaches that retirement isn't an age; it's a financial number - an amount you need to live the life in retirement that you've always dreamed of. With clear investing concepts and strategies, Chris will educate and empower you to make your own investing decisions, set reasonable expectations for your spouse and family, and build a dream team of experts to get you there.

You don't have to retire broke, stressed, and working long after you want to. You can retire inspired!

Practical & Powerful

I will be thinking carefully about my retirement & taking prompt action. I will also ensure my children are well educated in practical financial matters. Excellent book & powerfully narrated by the author.

Amazing book

This book was amazing. I live in the UK so some of the information wasn't relevant (we don't have some of the accounts etc mentioned). BUT this didn't distract from the message of the book. LOVE IT! I have the hard copy version too.

I'm 26 and glad I listened to this

Chris shared good advice and like he says holding your values and protecting them is important. I plan to listen to this again as a reminder and keep me on track.

Brilliant! I am inspired to retire INSPIRED

I loved this book . There is so much knowledge and wisdom that I plans to study it bit by bit and make some SMART goals for my retirement. I would strongly recommend that everyone regardless of age read or listen to this book. It will definitely transform your life and help you to have a fabulous time as you put into practice what you have learned. You can look forward to Retire Inspired.

Huge Dave Ramsey fan didn't feel as if Chris message was as compelling..

Hugely sensible book and well done Chris. As the book progressed didn't feel as if I learnt anything that I hadn't already learnt from Dave R and just sounded like a more sporty version of Dave but with a deeper voice ( and of course without the "bankruptcy and rebuild" track record). Unfortunately I found myself wanting to fast forward through sections and although a sports fan, couldn't really connect to offence / defense analogies or insightful basketball coaches. Mindful of the commitment it takes to write a book but I think it lacks a hook
