When you hear the word retirement, you probably don't imagine yourself scrambling to pay your bills in your golden years. But for too many Americans, that's the fate that awaits unless they take steps now to plan for the future.
Whether you're 25 and starting your first job or 55 and watching the career clock start to wind down, today is the day to get serious about your retirement.
In Retire Inspired, Chris Hogan teaches that retirement isn't an age; it's a financial number - an amount you need to live the life in retirement that you've always dreamed of. With clear investing concepts and strategies, Chris will educate and empower you to make your own investing decisions, set reasonable expectations for your spouse and family, and build a dream team of experts to get you there.
You don't have to retire broke, stressed, and working long after you want to. You can retire inspired!

Hugely sensible book and well done Chris. As the book progressed didn't feel as if I learnt anything that I hadn't already learnt from Dave R and just sounded like a more sporty version of Dave but with a deeper voice ( and of course without the "bankruptcy and rebuild" track record). Unfortunately I found myself wanting to fast forward through sections and although a sports fan, couldn't really connect to offence / defense analogies or insightful basketball coaches. Mindful of the commitment it takes to write a book but I think it lacks a hook
"Great book, but it's missing the foreword"
this was a great book. If you read other books by Dave Ramsey it's quite similar , but it's a new story with a new reader, it's a new way of saying things but it's quite the same message in the end. I really appreciate what Dave Ramsey team and what Chris did with this book. the only thing I didn't like is that it is missing the foreword by Dave Ramsey. the foreword is mentioned multiple times in the book without being present. you have a great voice Mr Hogan. I am looking forward your next book. Thanks
"Great for a Ramsey newbie; waste of time for followers"
I am a Dave Ramsey fan to the core. I am always being made fun of at the office and then a minute later asked financial questions based on Dave's teachings. I am even starting a financial peace class in the next few months.
This book is extremely helpful for anyone Who is starting out with the program/ideas.
But for someone like me, who has read a lot of his books and listens to the show daily. This book was a total waste of time, Chris is a great personality and I love to listen to him. I did enjoy the few facts that he did provide, like the history of retirement. But as a whole this book was a regurgitation of Dave's own words and really did not bring anything new to the table. As a hard-core fan, I was extremely excited to listen to this book, but it was disappointing .
I absolutely enjoyed the book!!! I gave it all stars because it explained everything you want to know in detail. I learned so much even retirement information I knew was broken down in a way a beginner can understand and someone with great knowledge can take away something new. I would recommend to all my friends and family !! Great job Mr. Hogan !!!
This is an amazing book with priceless info that has truly inspired me to get control of my finances now!
"Must Read for anyone of any age."
Whether you are financial stable and are looking for affirmation of being on the right track or if you are financially distressed, this book is for you!! A must read from the always amazing Ramsey Solutions Team. God Bless and God Speed.
"Financial roadmap to create a legacy & full life!"
An amazing story that keeps you listening minute after minute! Follow Chris as he explains how to plan and follow your journey to wealth!
this book is a good overview of the facets of retirement. it will not give you specific advice as far as investing but is a good blueprint to start period
"Good content and good narration"
Good structure, good content and good narration. However if you read Dave Ramsey's books and listen to his podcast, you probably won't learn much new. It would be more practical to have a written version, where you can easily skip what you already know and focus on new information.
There's no magic trick to a stable, secure retirement, but knowing a few simple tips and tricks that this book shares will inspire confidence in your retirement plans. This is one of the most practical, useful books I've ever read.
"Concise, Thorough, and Easy to Understand for Financial Dufuses Like Me."
A fabulous book. I am a single parent, recently divorced, and in my forties. Rebuilding my life financially has been overwhelming and often times scary. I was floundering, particularly in the arena of retirement. I felt empowered as I listened to the author, and now I can move forward with a plan. After listening to this book in an audio format, I'm going to purchase it in hardcover so that I can refer to it often.
