I started reading this book with apprehension. I thought it would be another "self help book " like all the others I have read. This book turned out to be a world of knowledge and tips and tricks to help others and yourself. I have made my family read it and use it in my work (I'm a healthcare professional).
The strategies and tips really work. You will be enlightened and amazed.
It is written in a pleasant way and has a moderate pace of information release with no "beating around the bush ".
You will love it!
I really enjoyed the information. However throughout the book they spoke of the questionnaire at the end that would help you to identify which are your primary basic needs that you seek to fulfill. The questionnaire wasn't read. :( So now I also need the printed version if I want to get the information that was meant to be had.
"Meh. Some pearls, but ultimately not worth it."
Maybe. This one came to me on the recommendation of a friend.
There were a few "pearls". Like little one liners that helped understand relationships a bit better, but ultimately, it is mostly just stories about this couple and that couple doing this and that for their marriage. Anecdotal kind of stuff that is hard to boil down into something useful. There were also these constant lists or steps of things. "five steps" of whatever, "six needs of everyone", and so on. Lists are a helpful learning tool, but an overused tool is self-defeating.
Kind of boring. Very little enthusiasm in the voice.
No, but a movie is certainly a lot less of a time commitment.
If you have a free credit and have a shaky relationship, give it a try. It might be helpful to you, but it was only marginally helpful for me.
The information provided in this book was very insightful educational and thought-provoking. I found the examples relatable and able to apply to my experiences.
"A must read by anyone who is in the relationship."
This is an awesome book that will help you in evaluating your relationship. It will teach you to ask and empowering questions and it will guide you to next steps in better relationship
"I extremely rarely write a review, unless it made a big impact!!"
The last hour summaries the book, outstanding book!! You need to get this regardless if you already have a boyfriend/girlfriend. It can be any relationship- parents, kids, cousins, friends, wife/husband, anything. It talks about our six needs as humans.
"Should have noticed that Anthony Robbins was NOT the narrator."
Nice and very and polite/pleasant voice, but with none of the inspiration or energy of Tony Robbins.
"Robotic reading voice"
The robotic quality of the narration is completely distracting from the substance. I haven't been able to get through much of it.
"Awakening Personal Clarity"
An inspiring introspection...provoking and stimulating motivation; to actively positively change. Thank You for awakening my personal clarity.
