If you can get past the way that the book is written somewhat like a sales pitch (which I personally find irritating), 'One Word' is actually a wonderful concept and it makes sense.
It's easy to understand and universally applicable and the book contains simple steps in how to achieve this.
Looking forward to discovering my word and putting this into action in my life.

Powerful Thought Provoking
I LOVED the concept of this book! One Word is all you need to help you steer your year. I decided to try this with my family for 2014. The concept makes total sense and was powerful. I finished listening to this book inspired and on fiya. I am ready to conquer next year.--Michele Allen, Queens, NY
most impactfull thing I've listened to out of about 30 books this year. My wife and I loved it.
"One Word. One Year."
When I first heard about "One Word That Will Change Your Life," I was intrigued by the concept and immediately bought the audiobook. When I first heard the book, I initially found the narration to be a touch "corporate trainer" sounding, but the concept was explained succinctly, and I found myself eager to give it a go.
One word. One year. Could an idea this simple actually work? When I look back over my first year, I see the stamp of my first word across every season.
One word. One year. Could something so easy actually help? I chose my second year's word last night, and this morning I awoke to an amazing breakthrough.
One word. One year. Thank you, Jon Gordon!
Going to try it with my group. I think this will move us forward in life
Very clear, concise, honest and sincere.
Fresh and crisp and beautifully paced. Jimmy has a gift that will enrich the lives of many!
"I wanted more"
Simple and easy topic but I feel that this is a part of a greater system, not one in and of itself
The concept of one word resolutions sounds like a good thing to experiment with. Unfortunately, a page will do for that. What could use more fleshing out is the process to come up with the one word. The authors present it in a mystical way -- Think about it and God will reveal it to you. My problem is not that they include God. It is how they assume His involvement. Because the use of one word has worked for them and others, they conclude that each year God has one word just for you and will reveal it to you.
For one of the authors, the one word was "received" via a hurt knee.
"A good concept for FOCUSING your efforts. butt..."
I liked the concept to use one word to focus your life.
No not really. I found I turned off when they brought in the god factor. I just didn't think it was necessary. Nothing against it but this turned me off and so I turned off the book didnt finish it.
