I've been doing guided meditations a long time and this is what I've been looking for, something that really enabled me to reconnect and heal my inner child's trauma's. It covers absolutely EVERYTHING!!. I found it to the point without fluffing things up and at the same time gentle. I'm recommending it to all i know.
Thank you Mr DeFoore
p.s I have just bought Dealing with Anger in children and the sample sounded great!!
As much as I like this recording it isn't the one that works best for me.
The author has voice of professional practitioner, which he is anyway and the visuals are good.
I think affirmations are very top heavy. Way too many of them. William defoore suggests recording your own voice but I opted for a different approach.
I would recommend this recording.
The bathing of the child part was just creepy and not really productive at moving survivors of sexual assault towards healing.
"Parts of this a little creepy"
I understand the concept of healing your inner child and I agree with the necessity to do that, but I found the parts of this that involved washing the inner child, especially the parts affected by abuse to be beyond what I could accept as appropriate. Maybe I'm being too
puritanical as far as what needs to be done, but this put me off and I probably won't listen to it again. For me, Louise Hay's Inner Child work is more effective.
