What if you could defuse tension and create accord in even the most volatile situations - just by changing the way you spoke? Over the past 35 years, Marshall Rosenberg has done just that, peacefully resolving conflicts in families, schools, businesses, and governments in 30 countries all over the world. On Nonviolent Communication, this renowned peacemaker presents his complete system for speaking our deepest truths, addressing our unrecognized needs and emotions, and honoring those same concerns in others. With this adaptation of the best-selling book of the same title, Marshall Rosenberg teaches in his own words:
Here is a definitive audio training workshop on Marshall Rosenberg's proven methods for "resolving the unresolvable" through Nonviolent Communication.

Yes. It's important to hear Marshall's voice as this gives a real feeling of how one might speak in a NVC way.
The scenarios that illustrate the main features of NVC
I haven't heard other books read by the same author.
Needing to communicate.
A fascinating and very simple way of looking at our approaches of how we communicate with people. It has given me a new outlook on how I interact with people now and find out what's alive in us all. I thankyou Marshall 😊
Highly recommend to anyone interested in having better relationships with anyone. Has transformed my personal and professional relationships just applying some simple techniques. Be prepared to turn the volume right up to hear this though. Marshall is great but I had to crank up volume a little higher than usual for Audible books
I have read most of Marshall Rosenberg's books. Every one is a treasure. I have them in the Kindle and Audio format. They explain a peaceful solution to different views in different scenarios. I feel the books have been an education to me and would be to anyone else who wishes to communicate more effectively and to listen clearly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A good addition. It really is a superb book but putting in into practice made me harder (especially when the inner jackal is biting.
Any of Rosenbergs books.. It is a book which is very practical.
I have heard Marshall on youtube vids and this is very good addition
Communications with compassion
No book has made me so self aware recently - there are some pearls of wisdom and challenges. Sadly Marshal died this year however the knock on effect of his work lives on...
Learning about people and what makes us tick and a rip snorting yarn are my favourite reads.
Thank you Marshall. I feel happy that I am better equipped to understand myself and others, connect and get my needs met while meeting their needs too and do so without shouldibg myself or them.
"Relevant to a Job Hopper/3X Married"
My 3rd wife and I have been progressively fighting for months. I've been unemployed for six months. I couldn't say anything to her at all without any conversation nose diving. Before I was even 100% done listening to Violent Commutation, I had a 90 minute healing, positive, loving and productive conversation with my her. Not one raised eyebrow or voice. I have tried thousands of dollars worth of counseling, self help and mentoring. This not only works, but is the only approach that I can ever see working. It simply washes away your prejudice by asking what you need.
If you twist my arm for a suggestion, I would change the sound quality so there is less mouth noises and speed up his message, which I simply did in the app.
"Very helpful for personal & professional conflicts"
Wonderful book. I only give it a lower score for performance because the author/reader does a funny voice every time he is quoting someone else. It draws me out of the moment. This book has already helped me manage a few potential conflicts in my personal and professional life. I assigned it to one of my managers to help her talk to employees in a more healthy and helpful way.
"Best book I've listen."
Something to listen multiple times to deeply study and learn. After several great books about human communication and cooperation this goes into center of core. <3
The lifetime studying and followed deep understanding which has basis on family tradition over generations in Marshalls family. And totally ego free presentations of the text.
This is someting for everyone to understand better your own needs and other people needs and create best possible cooperation with anyone and everyone.
"I found this book to be like the Rosetta Stone"
I found this book to be life changing. It is like the Rosetta Stone, in that so many areas of my life are able to be decoded, unpacked in a framework that works and makes sense. If I was ever in a position where I could take only one audiobook, this would be it.
"Good Concept, Hard To Make It A Habit AWFUL readin"
The book itself has a great concept. It is hard to make it an everyday habit though especially if everyone else around you doesn't do the same. You practice for a while then it gets forgotten because nobody around you does the same and you just go back to your own ways.
He should have picked some professional reader. It was so slow, that I almost fell asleep listening (I had to speed it up for 1.5x the speed to make it normal) and it was very "wet", you hear every breath, swallow, mouth noise in the reading. Something that I don't want to hear loud in my ears. For this reason, I don't recommend this audio book to anyone, I would advise to read the book itself. It's a good book.
"good value for your time and money"
Well constructed and thought. It is nice to hear Mr. Rosenberg reading his own work, putting his emotions into the story with his own voice.
"learn to speak w compassion, live compassionately"
I can think of no other time where my life has been so influenced in five short hours
" very hard to listen to, but the message is great
struggled listening, honestly made me angry how slow he talks not inspiring, had to stiop after an hr of listening, even sped up the delivery, didnt help.
"invaluable life skills."
I wish I'd learned this decades ago. My kids will learn this method by my example. Thank you, Marshall!
"simple and challanging"
this book can save humanity, one person at a time. life changing. easy to understand, yet very challanging to practice. it's like learning a new language.
