..I'm more 'willing' to do something. It still requires the same mental processes of course, I've not turned into a walking zombie or live on some kind of easy autopilot. I just feel like 'i' am more willing to exercise self discipline. Subtle but noticeable, however I am receptive to these things.
"Helped my addiction"
As an adult entertainer, I have been struggling with alcohol and eventually cocaine use. I was completely normal during the day, and would constantly beat myself up for acting so ridiculous when I go to work. I constantly told myself, "okay, tonight I will not get out of control." But as soon as I stepped into the environment, all of my morals were left at the door. THIS audiobook helped. THIS audio book fixed me. I do not even have to fight my addictions. It is so natural not to want a drink, not to hunt for cocaine. My willpower and self discipline is now all natural THANKS to this audio.
"Awesome! It does work"
Was skeptical at first. But was willing to give it a try. Out of all the programs Joel house, this is been the most amazing from me. I've been listening every night for a week and half and I see a huge difference for me. I wake up more determined to be structured and disciplined in my day. Not quite there yet but will keep going.The key is doing it every single night for three weeks. Since it takes us 21 days to form a habit. You need to reprogram your mind and be consistent. And you won't go wrong. Definitely worth a try!
"Worst night's sleep"
I agree with others that Thielke's voice is soothing, but somehow it still did not lull me to sleep. Normally, I have a very easy time falling asleep, but when I listened to this book, I had a hard time drifting off, and strangely, had intense itching all over my body that interfered with relaxing. Suggestions to let worries and negative thoughts go only brought them to the fore. When he would stop talking and the music would play, I would start to fall asleep, only to be awakened again by his repetition of the hypnosis narrative. This cycle repeated four or five times. At the end of the CD I was jarred from slumber by not one, but two voices that were not the author's thanking me for listening to Audible. Seriously, why on earth would this be included in this manner in a sleep/hypnosis audio book? It's like I now have to engineer some sort of mix tape version of the book where I can cut out the intrusive Audible advertisement at the end. I did not have the deep sleep others experienced and woke up a few hours later. I was finally able to get back to sleep, but in total, I think I only had a few hours sleep last night. Forget increased productivity and laser focus--I'm barely going to make it through my day without a nap and have cancelled much of my day because I can hardly sit upright. I'm cross and achy and reluctant to play this book again at night, lest I repeat the same undesirable results. According to new scientific studies looking at brain activity, about 25 percent of the population cannot be hypnotized, and perhaps I am one of them. I think this ratio should be presented to readers who are considering buying the book.
I am not sure I will try this book again at night because I can't afford to have multiple nights of such poor sleep in one week. Perhaps I'll try it for meditation or napping, where the consequences of it failing are less dire. I can't figure out how to listen to just a portion of it, without waking and manually shutting off play, although it says in the description that one can listen to clips of the audio. The whole thing is just frustrating. I am disappointed because I was hoping this would help me get over some problems with procrastination, lack of focus, and habits that get in the way of achieving major goals.
I'm a veteran of hypnosis and this is one of the best I've used. As all of his material, he does a great job at lulling you to sleep and then infusing a powerful subliminal message. I've actually never had as good of results as I've had with this. Motivation was dramatically increased after just a week. HIGHLY recommend.
I don't know if it's the book or the suggestion of what the book does, but it seems to be motivating me... Either way the relaxation technique used to aide going to sleep definitely works. I'm buying more of the series.
"i passed the f out"
i remember about 5 minutes of this book. it makes you sleep. thats the point. what kind of literature is this.
"Talks too fast"
It's not very relaxing considering he speaks so fast. Waste of money if you ask me

Sleep so often can be a challenge, but he guides as a summer breeze and yes,I did sleep through the night
"not so good"
I personally didn't care for the piano music, it woke me from a sound sleep. I had to fast forward through it.
Each chapter is followed by just music, so there are just three chapters. Those are okay, but it should be more explicit that there are only three chapters of guided meditation.
