"What is it you expect?"
I like the candidness and honesty of this book. Amber Rose is unapologetic, insightful, funny and real. I didn't know much about her before I read the book. It was passed on to me by my husband. I'm glad I heard the audio in her own voice which I think adds to the books sincerity and interest. I wish I had read this when I was a teenager! That's who i would really recommend this book to. Teenagers, young single women, young career driven women and men. She has a practical and logical thought process that I think would appeal to male reader/listener. Her book is a thorough approach to how women can reach their maximum potential in life, no apologies, with compassion and honesty. I think I connected to it be cause it paints a real picture of what it is typically like for a woman to come of age in the society we live in. My background was much more privileged than hers was, but I dealt with similar situations and mentalities as I was growing up. That's why I wish I had read this book when I was young. I like to think it would have been an insightful read when there were few people in my life who understood how steer me clear of unnecessary pain and heartache that stemmed from not knowing how to be a bad bitch; or that being a bad bitch was even a viable consideration. Now as a grown woman I'm delighted to listen to this powerful lady and to feel that her position in this world is a boost for womankind. Yeah, I really do. She's a great female human-being role model, full of integrity.
"Best Audiobook I've heard in a while!"
Outstanding...I bought this because I watched Amber on the "It's Not You It's Men" show. Even though I felt the hosts of that show were joked, Amber Rose was strong and held down her stance against two men who not only had the opposite mindset that she has, but didn't seem to be open to what she had to say. Amber won that argument hands down, and I was intrigued to hear what else she has to say:) I love you Amber Rose! Thank you for sharing your words of tried and trueness....I have learned so much;)
"Brilliant... So much admiration for this bad bitch"
MUVA GIVES FACTS
I love her story... its admirable she would share because she is so influential and talented and most of all real as fuck!! NO APOLOGIES! she says what most people think
HAVE VISION...BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE
I LOVE YOU MUVA X
I like that she is the one that narrated it but the stories or lessons seem to be maybe for a younger girl in her late teens or early 20's.
"Speak your truth Amber and pass it forward!libra ♡"
This book was her truth and it had grit and honesty that is needed. Everybody in there life needs a confidante to listen and give potential advice and based on your beliefs and truly listening to your inner voice ..you can find your truth to make the best decisions. I loved that she was the narrator because it was like we were chatting over some green tea at a cafe. Honestly it lifted me up and put a reset to what I need to focus on and that means being the better me and nothing less.
Her voice and story telling skills are on point!
Don't agree with all the points however enjoyed the book.
I am not an Amber fan but I thought I would give this book a try. Bad move! It was boring and her voice is annoying. She should have let someone else narrate this book. I only made it to 17 mins before I had to stop this book and delete it. That is my honest true opinion. Buy at your own risk.
"Motivating, insightful, & encouraging!"
This book is great for boost confidence, self-esteem, and very insightful about her & her views about life and some of her experiences. I've always loved Amber Rose since I saw her on Russell Simmons show yrs ago. Now I love her even more!
"This girl is more than a beautiful face and bangin body"
Before I read this book, I lumped this girl in with Kim Kardashian and other dumb whores but trust- this girl is so much more!! This is a very intelligent woman of substance. Ignore her unpolished ghetto sounding voice and you will love this book and learn so much!! I love this girl now and got some real game from her!
"sorry for judging you "
i was a hater of amber rose and doubted her way of success until i saw her in the movie Sister Code. I thought I was going to dread her performance but end up like the character she played and my idea of her changed (just a little). Then this book was recommended to me on an ad and wanted to know what else she had to offer. wow was i surprised! Her story and advice is so innocent and her voice dragged like the valley girls, which annoys me in general, however i ended up adoring it, her, and her advice and story cuz it is all sincere and caring and impacting which you could hear the effort in. I adore her and the help she is offering in her story. I love it all! I'm a fan of Amber Rose now :)
