I don't know if this is a beginner's book for self hypnosis or not. The trance inducing exercises really work. You will immediately notice that, utilizing your mind, you can help your body feel better, in the least, like getting a massage. The hardest part, I find, as a family man, is getting the peace and quiet to practice the exercises. Overall, I recommend this book to anyone who wants to find new ways to relax and/or meditate as well as feel the healthful effects of this therapy.
Very interesting and informative, but a bit repetitious. The shorter hyponosis sessions are good, but the longer one was disappointing. I was expecting more of a guided healing session, but found it to be more instructive in nature with less actual guided relaxation.
These two spend more time talking about themselves then any offer of help through hypnosis. What a waste of money.
"Not what I was looking for..."
The first half of this is pretty much a discussion of hypnotherapy and its applied usages. if you are unsure what hypnotherapy can be used for this might be for you.
The second part is a series of sample meditations. I don't forsee getting a lot of use out of this.
Personally.. I was hoping it would be more of a meditation/relaxation tape than a lecture. The second half could presumably be used that way.. But... I'd prefer the entire tape be mediations.
"Learn to heal and release stress"
There are several guided meditations that teach one to deeply relax, set healing intention, release stress and create positive emotions and energy.

"Too much history, no hypnosis"
I didn't listen to the whole thing, so maybe I'm wrong. But, after they talked about hypnosis for over an hour I shut it down. I didn't want to learn about it, I wanted to do it. I guess if you want to learn about the significance of hypnosis, this is the book.
