Perhaps some of the ideas in the book were interesting but it was so hard to access the meaning by the abysmal narration. The narrator's voice was clear but he failed to use appropriate word and sentence stress and intonation so frequently that it masked the message and was incredibly irritating. It was like when a child reads aloud, pronouncing the words but not understanding the content. Absolutely dire! This experience has made me realise the importance of listening to a sample of an audio book before choosing it - the narrator plays such a crucial role in making it an enjoyable experience.
Some interesting ideas that I will apply to my life. I believe there are PDF documents I can use although I haven't worked out how to find them yet.
Yes. Although I had to listen to this twice as I didn't enjoy it the first time around, mainly due to the dull narration.
The author himself
This is an instance where I would have probably enjoyed the written form of the book rather than it being narrated by someone other than the author, and so unsympathetically.
Read Hapiness Advantage instead, written by an actual psychologist. This book lacks all practical application and just has it the completly the wrong way around right from the subtitle. Ie its thoughts that change habits that chnage actions, not the other way around.
