    "Better than many"

    I've been privy to many guided meditations through my work and a little bit in my free time. I don't enjoy them as a whole, and hate some. This one was better than many - its simplicity and ease without the woo-woo hot air balloons, fairies or other such props that other meditations may employ. I did a big no-no and started listening to this as I was driving - I was having a really bad day and was very tense. I had to turn it off after a few minutes because I calmed down so quickly I was afraid I'd get sleepy or distracted.
    The narrator had a nice voice - very good for this sort of thing.

    The best relaxing meditation! Recommended for stressed parents children's during summer vacations and holidays.
    Serene background music and the best meditation specialist.
    Easy to listen to during breaks during the work day for rejuvenating to plow through the remaining hours.

    "One sharp chime ruins it for sleep purposes"

    One sharp-toned chime 24 seconds from the end ruins this for sleep purposes. Ting! and it jerks you back awake. If you're looking for a sleep aid, their "Deep Sleep Hypnosis" is far superior and fabulous.

    This is still good for relaxation/de-stressing and I'll keep it on my phone for lunch breaks at work when I need to relax. That "break the spell" chime at the end will keep me from snoozing in my chair after the recording ends.

    I'm turning into a fan of these recordings as they're excellent and normally do exactly what they say they will. Had this one been advertised solely for relaxation and stress relief, I'd be giving it a 5 star rating. If they'd avoided that nasty chime 24 seconds from the end (can you tell it annoyed me so much I went back and hunted it down?) I would have given it a 5 star. But that "ding" at the end ruined it for me for sleep purposes. I jerked straight back awake after dropping into blissful slumber.

    "Surprisingly good"

    I went into Guided Meditation like any other audiobook which was a mistake. The point of this audiobook isn't to listen, to learn, or to be entertained -- the point is to be guided.

    My first impression was genuine surprise at how much of the incredibly short 30 minutes used no words and how slow the narration is. Surely this doesn't leave much room for content. And indeed it doesn't. Again: content isn't the goal. The calm, relaxing, reassuring non-judgmental narrator isn't trying to impart knowledge. Instead she brings you with her to a better, more tranquil place.

    This book could be a very good thing for me to revisit every now and again.

    Nicely done meditation. Soothing music and narrator voice, though some of the script is blasé, it is a low percent of the entire session.

    I have not listened to other books by this company but have from other companies- I love how this one got right into the practice.

    Would you listen to Guided Meditation again? Why?

    Yes, I would, and will, listen to Guided Mediation because this guided meditation actually helped me relax on a very stressful day. Thank you.


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    No favorite 'character', though the speaker is a very good speaker, and a has a very soothing speaker.


    What about Mindfulness Training’s performance did you like?

    It's peaceful and helped me relax.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The music.

    Give it a try. You'll never know if you like this guided meditation unless you try it.

    "A Very Refreshing 30 Minute Meditation"

    I've been meditating for several years and I love guided meditations. This one resonated very well for me and I even use guided meditations for pain relief. I used this one during a particular time of day that's generally stressy for me and was left feeling refreshed and relaxed. That right there for me is worthy of 10 stars.

    The woman guiding the meditation sounded good to me. She spoke clearly, slowly, and was soothing. There are some major names in guided meditations of whom I can't meditate with because of their voices. Along with her 'easy on my ears' voice, the ambient music sounded good and neither overpowered the other. Recommended.
