Gratitude is primarily a motivational book looking at the benefits of practicing daily gratitude and the ways in which to do this. It does not cover one method in depth but rather, gives a broad perspective of the kind of habits we can all easily develop in order to become more grateful. If practicing gratitude is something you haven't really considered, this is a good place to start, because Ace McCloud begins by explaining why developing a grateful attitude will benefit you, then lays out many of the different methods that have been touted by a variety of people from celebrities to life coach gurus. You're sure to find an idea that works for you, and then the audio motivates you to run with it and make it a permanent part of your daily life.
The narration is classic Joshua Mackey, full of energy and enthusiasm - this adds a certain something to a work that is essentially motivational.
I already practice relational gratitude in my life - actively taking opportunities to express gratitude to other people for their help and kindness and consider myself to be a generally grateful person. However, I still found some of the ideas in the audio quite fresh, and was particularly touched by the idea of complimenting yourself, and also countering negativity by actively speaking out the things you have to be grateful for, not only in relation to self, but also as pertains to friends, family , work etc.
Do you ever experience that moment when you feel so grateful for someone and you really want to thank that person, your parents for example, but you just can’t find the right words to say because you know, it’s awkward? I experience that as well! I feel that way almost all the time and it is really awful because we should really express our gratitude and how thankful we are for all the things they have provided and sacrificed for us. I realised that after I finished reading this book. It has served as an eye-opener for me.
This book has taught me so much that I have become a happier person than I was before. I now appreciate even the smallest of things in life. Speaking of gratitude, I want to thank the author for making this wonderful book!
If you are someone who is having a hard time expressing yourself and finds it difficult to say a simple “thank you”, I recommend this book to you!
The book covers how important it is to be grateful and thankful for what we have and experience, especially when it comes to small things that we don't really notice. It shows some easy ways how to implement gratitude in a daily life and presents some strong scientific backgroud of presented techniques. It shows that in the age of constant rush and competition it's difficult to feel grateful which leads to a neverending cycle of being overworked. It proposes a daily gratitude practice and makes a promise of getting a happier, healthier and more motivated self - in general, useful book if you feel a little bit tired and tried everything with no good effects.
This book focuses on how important gratitude is in making you happy and how you can utilise this. I think it has the power to make a huge difference in people's lives; it definitely did for me. The book gives tips such as the top 3 ways to improve your happiness and really covers the topic in an engaging and interesting manner.
The narration was clear and Joshua MacKey's enthusiasm grabbed my attention and made me keen to continue listening.
All in all I thing this was a fantastic book that could make a big difference to your life.
I really enjoyed listening to this audio book. Ordinarily I hate it when books are overly repetitive, but in this book I found the repetitive nature to be a key motivating element of the book. After listening to this book I truly felt a sense of gratitude for what I have in life and have been reflecting on it daily. I have found it to have an incredibly positive effect on my mood and interactions with others during the day.
Unbeknownst to me, my Mum could hear the audio book whilst I was playing it and has been talking about it ever since. Our family has been through a very tough time recently and she found it extremely enlightening to take the time to focus on the number of things we have to be thankful for and has helped her too to be more positive.
A very though provoking and motivational audio book!
This book on the power of gratitude was really impressive. Learning about the effect it can have on your life both physically and mentally is incredibly eye-opening.
The techniques are so simple to introduce in your life and the benefits of being more grateful and the impact it can have on yours and others lives really make this essential listening.
In particular, I really enjoyed the focus on learning to be more grateful and how to implement it into your daily life and interactions with others. The chapter on how it can help with depression is very interesting, while extra tips for happiness are a great added bonus.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough for anyone seeking more serenity and contentment in their life. Excellent!
“Gratitude” by Ace McCloud is a cheerful e-book that gives you a new point of view of how to be grateful for your family, friends, boss and even items like house or car. It is very simple to say thank you but we always forget about this powerful word. It is essential for everyday life and relationships. Be being grateful we can improve our wellbeing, emotions, career and personal goals. It is very valuable position for those who are too busy to pay attention to details that are very important. McCloud support his thesis by opinion of psychologist. “Gratitude” shows how happiness score is improved after being grateful. Gratitude increases our social capability, improve our personality. People who can be grateful are more spiritual than materialistic and can socialize better with others. If you positive and grateful you are better colleague at your workplace and you are more effective worker. That is important because relationships at workplace create good atmosphere and help you work more productively. “Gratitude” can be a good source of information for management and team leaders to give their colleagues good example of positive relationships. “Gratitude” also helps you change your life and be excellent marriage therapy. It helps to be a better person and appreciate what you have instead of being greedy and materialistic. “Gratitude” is a very simple and very valuable e-book that shows you how to being grateful and how to makes your life better. So simple, so good.
In today’s society the importance of everyday gratitude has lost its value. At the same time, not many of us can admit to be truly happy. But why are we not? According to author, McCloud, many of us probably own everything what needed to have a good life. All we lack is a little more of appreciation. As we read in “Gratitude”, everything can change when our outlook on life is different.
I’ve found this audiobook to be an interesting collection of advices on how to live in a present moment and how to get the most out of your life. This very universal message considers people of different backgrounds and occupations. That’s because nowadays, sadly, majority of societies have been overpowered by constant drive to have, do, be more...The “Gratitude” gives us some solutions for how to put feeling of lack away for good and just be happier with what we have. In the end, as the author says, “you get what you focus on”.
What makes the “Gratitude” guide more valuable is that its author has an experience as a therapist. Therefore, he can give examples of actual real people who by implementing a number of techniques managed to improve the quality of their lives (e.g. got out of the depression or became more popular in their environments just by learning how to say “thank you”). According to many reported by McCloud studies, simple daily gratitude practice can make you better and happier person. Without spending any penny to make it happen.
“Gratitude” is certainly worth the time you spend on it, as it will teach you about loving life, yourself and others. Life hasn’t turn out the way you’ve planed it? Too bad. But does it really matter, as long as you are happy?
Yeah. coz of the narration of course
n/a this is not a story doe
not really this is a serious book
truth be told, when you get something you had always wished for, something else bigger and takes its place. Humans find it very difficult to be contended with what they have. I bought this book because i felt i fit this human behavior perfectly. this book helped me grateful of what i already have and i must say it has made me happier and more confident with myself
"We could all use a little more Gratitude!"
I never realized how big of an impact gratitude can have on your overall attitude. This audio book makes some really great points about the differences between how a child and am adult view the world. There really is a lack of appreciation for what we already have in the world today. It's so easy to forget how lucky we are all are because we still want more. This makes some really great points and offers simple changes to make. I can't wait to see the positive impact that my new gratitude habits have!!! This is not your typical self help tutorial.
"This book helps you emotionally is such great ways"
Yes it helps
This book will help you deal with your emotions in such a great way. You will feel so much better after listening to this book like I did. Try it out today and you won't be disappointed.
"Grateful People are Happy People"
Yes, there was a great deal of good information and inspiration in this book that i would not mind listening to again and again.
I like most of the author's books and i would probably put it up there with his Forgiveness book. This book was also inspiring and made my life a little better.
Joshua Mackey is a master at reading non fiction books. In many cases non fiction audio books are a bit dry and boring, but Mr. Mackey brings them to life and makes them sound even more interesting.
Yes and you could. It is not long and drawn out. It gets to the point, gives you all kinds of suggestions on how to be grateful and it did it in just a little bit of time. It is perfect.
The suggestions on how to be more grateful were extremely helpful and I loved the journalling online suggestion. If you journal about being grateful on line, everyone can see it and you have no out. There were also tips on meditation and other techniques and on being mindful so you don't miss an opportunity to be grateful. It is a good book and I am grateful that it was out there for me to find and listen to.
"Gratitude equals greater success!"
Gratitude is one of the most vital ingredients of a successful, and happy life. Often as professionals we all tend to forget these key components to our success and our daily energy output. Being grateful not only helps you feel better for yourself, but you are giving others a validation they require to also feel content and continue growing. This audio book really helps breakdown the importance of gratitude, and the many ways we are able to show our gratitude daily.
"Gratitude gives Life"
I really needed this reminder to be grateful; I think of myself as a basically grateful person, but this gratitude book reminded me of the ways I benefit from adopting a grateful perspective. I am grateful for two major truths from this book:
1. That mental health professionals can predict within three minutes of first meeting a couple whether their marriage will last; those who make five positive statements for every one negative statement to their spouses have a solid relationship.
2. That it's more helpful to be grateful for what your possessions do for you than for the things themselves.
The audio format makes it easy to absorb this book repeatedly, reiterating valuable truths while you get dressed or while you drive down the road. I will definitely revisit "Gratitude" on a regular basis.
"Gratitude leads to a happy life"
This is s a very thought-provoking book. I agree with the notion that gratitude is necessary for success and a happy life. There are way too many greedy ungrateful people in the world these days, that's for sure. But gratitude is one of those things that brings personal peace and satisfaction. This book is a great jumpstart for people who don't quite get the concept of being grateful but want to. Interesting. I recommend it.
"Gratitude, it'll change your life"
For a long time I was miserable. I felt as though my life was an endless cycle of bad luck. After listening to this amazing book, things began to change. By not focusing on the negative, I began to realize how much good there really is in my life. Because of this I am more grateful for all that I have and when something bad comes along, I can face it because I know one bad thing isn't enough to spoil all the good. This book has many pointers and ways to incorporate gratitude into your life. Highly recommended
"Great audio book for improving your mood!"
This audio book on gratitude is really great! I have found my overall mood has increased significantly since actively using the easy gratitude exercises. It really has made a great difference and whenever I am feeling negative I am sure to go over all the things I am grateful for and that changes the mindset completely! If your looking for more peace and happiness in your life then this audio is well worth the purchase!
"Fantastic tips on how to master gratitude!"
Yes, it has a lot of great information for people who are dealing with issues of gratitude in their life.
The part where it explains how to get over emotional boundaries related to insecurities and self-esteem.
his clear vocal tone and crisp speaking.
No not really.
Really great book for people who are dealing with issues of low self-esteem or confidence due to a number of factors such as peer pressure, societal standards etc. This title is so whole in the sense that it covers every emotion "spectrum" that humans go through in order to give them solutions on how to overcome these boundaries with gratitude. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!
