"Discover goals you didn't even know you had!"
I think so. There are some gems in this book!
I really like the Goal Setting exercises. I discovered a few goals I didn't on a conscious level know I wanted to achieve. Hey! I was impressed with that which gave me new focus as well.
I like all the reminders of what positive self talk can do for you!!!
"Informative, well-written, and motivational"
This was a really good book, filled with lots of good advice for making and achieving goals. I think my favorite bit of advice, paraphrased, was that you should think of your goals and think each day what you could do to that day to bring yourself closer to achieving that goal, then do it. Because that is what goal achievement is: doing something each day to bring yourself closer to the end goal. I got a lot out of this book, and it was perfect for reading right before the new year. It is short (about two hours), but well-written so that you can get a lot of information out of it. I listened to the Audible audio edition narrated by Meral Matthews, and I really liked his narration. His voice is very clear and he reads at a good speed. If you are interested in really achieving your goals, this is a great little book to get you motivated.

"Goal Setting" would make a good "precursor" to the book, "Think and Grow Rich" Which the author cites.
Having ended last year with Jim Rohn’s audiobook on Goal Setting, I was delighted to listen to Thibaut Meurisse’s audiobook, Goal Setting. It was a good follow-up and was more practical than inspirational. It's short, full of useful information, and easy to follow.
I thought it was well-researched. The ideas weren’t particularly novel, but it was arranged in a way to make the ideas accessible. My only negative was that the author included too many quotes from other self-help gurus, which distracted me because I kept stopping to look for their work. (Is that good or bad? Who knows?! :-) )
Overall, however, it was a good book, and I would read other material from him. Good job, Mr. Meurisse. I've accomplished one of my small goals so far. Kudos! :-)

"GREAT AUDIO BOOK!!!"
I love this book!!! It's a MUST have for every self-help collection. The strategies taught and discussed are straight forward and easy to put into practice. I definitely recommend this book and the author.

I have read David Allen, Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy along with most of the other "Best Sellers," and I am happy to report Mr. Meurisse matches up superbly well against these giants. You won't be disappointed, I promise!
"Good Overview of Goal Setting"
This was a short, interesting read about how to go about setting goals and accomplishing tasks, large and small. I thought the information included was excellent and applicable to most people. A couple of things irked me though. For one, the narrator, while excellent and easy to understand, at times sounded almost mechanical. I also found the constant stream of quotations from other books became tiresome. Not that they weren't good quotes, but there were so many of them.
Overall, this is a good overview book on goal setting and time management.
I received this audiobook as a gift from the author, and thank him for it. His generosity in no way influenced my opinion of the book.

I’ll tell you what excites me – this audiobook.
I’ve done enough workshops and self-development courses over my lifetime to understand goal setting and other personal and professional development techniques, but Thibaut Meurisse still provided several lightbulb moments that verbalised something I knew but couldn’t articulate, or thought I knew, but didn’t fully understand until now.
Meral Mathews is a great narrator, speaking to you, not at you, even though he takes on the role of lecturer and teacher with this audiobook and its associated workbook, which you’re invited to download from a given web address. There are several times in the recording when you are asked to stop listening to complete an activity in the workbook. Goal Setting: The Ultimate Guide to Achieving Goals That Truly Excite You is a well-planned, practical experience.
Meurisse provides quotes from successful people and provides plenty of his own personal examples to demonstrate and confirm his goal setting lessons. Before delving into some of the psychological issues and roadblocks to achieving success, Meurisse’s well-researched book begins with outlining the benefits of goal settings and how to do it. He builds into discussing your core values and how to identify them, how to align your goals to them and, going one step further, he guides you towards discovering your life’s purpose; the essence of who you are, and how that plays into your goals.
Most importantly, Meurisse emphasizes your need to have a healthy relationship with failure because not every attempt will succeed but every attempt can be a learning and growing experience.
Accountability groups, self-sabotage, our beliefs system, daily routines and learning from others are just some of the ideas that are examined right alongside the expected coverage on making SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timebound) goals, prioritising, and taking a succession of small steps to build towards your goals.
