I have been wanting to grow my own vegetables for a very long time but always felt very overwhelmed by all the mixed advice from experienced family and friends. I found this audio guide really helped me to understand the basics and formulate a plan so that I could better understand the guidance and handy tips others gave me. It has a lot of helpful advice on things such as soil, drainage, sun exposure and the best conditions and benefits of particular vegetables. It even has a section on vegetarian recipes so that you can put all of your delicious home grown vegetables to use. I can’t wait to get started!
“Gardening” by Ace McCloud is a very handy guide how to organize your small vegetable garden that is amazing.
I like the best an idea of gardening into the big pots and hanging basket. I always have aside some space to plant some veg like onion, dill, cherry tomatoes and radishes. Also I have my personal herbs garden with lots of spices and herbs. I find it very useful how to organize garden, what kind of soil is the best and how to growing plants from seeds.
I am surprised also how many solutions can be used to feed your garden. Great idea is to use crushed eggs shells to add calcium to the soil.
Joshua Mackey makes listening experience more enjoyable and alive, also you can listen even when you doing something else. I like Joshua Mackey as narrator of many Ace's audio books and he keep the same high level of his performance!
Yes 'gardening' is definitely worth of listening. Because of many information it can be better to split listening sessions on few days to better focus on different topics. McCloud provides useful information how long plants should be keep outside and what temperature and position is the best.
Very interesting is chapter about making your own compost. Compost is a good idea to use table scraps, fruit, veg and also cardboard and newspaper. Great audio book worth to try and practice!
"Time to go gardening!"
I honestly had no idea there was this much to gardening. I appreciated the layout, especially when McCloud separated how to garden by style instead of vegetable. I found it way more useful to hear how to garden in certain styles, either in- ground, above- ground, or in pots and then what plants grow best in those styles, not the other way around. And the recipes at the end are delectably mouth- watering! Can't wait to try it all!
"Fantastic methods for gardening!"
Very smooth and easy tone by the narrator. The vocabulary speed is perfect.
Organization, which is a another book by Ace McCloud
Very easy to listen to instructions that give you detail on ways to maximize your garden's quality.Lots of helpful tips and tricks, great book to have on gardening!
"Helped me get my first vegetable garden going!"
I really loved this audio book. It gave me tons of ideas for growing my own garden and then it walks you through the steps of what to do. The narrator is excellent and it was fun to take notes and make a plan. My garden was easily created and it was fun to collect all the seeds and plant them. I plan on juicing a lot of the vegetables. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and I am super excited to see the end results. I can see the beginning sprouts now and it is fun to check the progress every few days. Highly recommended!

"Organic Gardening for All"
Gardening is the best way to grow fresh vegetables. McCloud shows that anyone can grow organic vegetables in their garden. He explains everything from how to prepare your garden and manage it. He also gives valuable tips on growing the most nutrient-rich vegetables. This is a great audio book for any gardener.
this book says that it helps you grow organic vegetables; yet, it advances to use pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and more. This is not organic at all. i do not recommend this book, if you want to grow your own organic vegetables.
"False Title - Not Organic"
Continued to talk about organic gardening and not switched to non-organic methods mid the book.
This book has the word "Organic" in the title but once you get to the sections on weed control it starts telling the reader how to use techniques that are not only non-organic, they are so destructive to the environment and the body that they should be banned. He even talks about using herbicides. Up until that point I was quite happy with the book and would have rated it at least 4 stars if not for this.
