"Eye opening. Maybe my favorite for this year!"
Hope that helps me on my way to a more meaningful life. Thanks for the authors I will definetly read this again, and I already made huge differences.
"Beautiful. Just beautiful. Thank-you "
I've been following the Minimalists for some time now. This book articulates the many reasons for the impact they have had on my life and so many others. Beautifully written.
"Podcast is better"
I like The Minimalists — a lot. They’ve changed my life. As for this books of the “essential” essays cultivated from their blog, it was just all right. They are short and good for reading one or two before bed, and I think it may be too easy to dismiss some of the essays without noticing that each one is often just a brushstroke in a broader picture. And that broader picture is awesome. But, honestly, I get more out of their podcast than I did from this book. Grade: B
Narration is excellent.
The authors should take their own advice. This book could have and should have been condensed to one magazine article. After an hour, I couldn't bare it any longer, even in rush hour traffic.
Good if you don't have a solid amount of time to sit down and listen. It is broken into a lot of different areas which allows me to listen on the road to and from work. I found it genuine and thought provoking.
It's not often that I clear my schedule and listen to an entire book in a single day, but this is so inspiring, captivating, motivating, and liberating that I just flat couldn't turn it off. It definitely helps that I identify with the authors, being a 6 figure earner that sold my home to live a much more simplified life on a farm not long ago. The book verbalizes my innermost thoughts, it's basically like listening to someone read your diary aloud to you. I loved it, and this will no doubt be a repeat listen.
"Common Sense I needed to hear"
These ideals aren't as profound as I would have expected. Thank you for giving me
affirmation to live my life with more passion ! Can't wait to read/listen to more
