Publisher's Summary

This audiobook could best be described as a lab manual with simple experiments that prove reality is malleable, consciousness trumps matter, and you shape your life with your mind. Yes, you read that right. It says prove. The nine experiments, each of which can be conducted with absolutely no money and very little time expenditure, demonstrate that spiritual principles are as dependable as gravity, as consistent as Newton's laws of motion. Rather than take it on faith, E-Squared invites you to prove the following principles:

  • There is an invisible energy force or field of infinite possibilities
  • You impact the field and draw from it according to your beliefs and expectations
  • Your connection to the field provides accurate and unlimited guidance
  • The universe is limitless, abundant, and strangely accommodating

My job entails a lot of driving which is why I listen to my books and preferably the unabridged versions.

"The next step after The Secret"
Would you listen to E-Squared again? Why?

Yes, and I do, on about the fourth time around at present. Firstly, it's read at a gallop so I felt I hadn't quite grasped it in the first listen and secondly, it's a work in progress and it's good to go over it time and again so that I grasp it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of E-Squared?

All of it was. Especially when you see your own results when doing the experiments. It's just so exciting!

What about Pam Grout’s performance did you like?

Well, as great as she is I'm afraid I found her reading style difficult. She reads far too fast, I had to keep rewinding as I would miss what she said, not ideal when your driving.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I bought the book on Kindle with Whispersync. There is a lot to take in and I'm still listening. Fourth time around, but I don't mind as I really want to 'get it'.

    Any additional comments?

Can't wait for E3 to be out on Kindle and Whisper Sync.

I teach dyslexic kids and am also dyslexic. Audio books enhance my reading rate and I use listen and read to raise pupil esteem.

"A different experience to some other reviewers."

Having been disappointed with The Secret (too wishy-washy for me) I was a little reluctant to download E Squared especially after some criticism of the authors presentation. However the phrase 'practical and scientific experiments' finally persuaded me to read it.
It only goes to show that we are all different.
I found Pam Grout to have a delightful delivery and a droll sense of humour as she goes through the eight experiments. Her anecdotes reflect the anticipated outcomes one might expect and help to set a positive attitude to achieve success.
I set up experiment one at 9.30 this morning and at 5.30 this evening was given a surprise gift! Result! Tomorrow I will start experiment two... Can't wait.

    "The narration was poor"
Would you try another book written by Pam Grout or narrated by Pam Grout?

Definitely not. The narration is a major part of the experience. When I tried the sample before buying, I knew it might be a test to listen to 3+ hours. I purchased the book because I thought I would enjoy the material. I managed about 15 minutes. The high pitched voice and poor diction completely interfered with my ability to make any use of the content.

Would you ever listen to anything by Pam Grout again?

No. I would encourage all authors to choose professional narrators. I often look for other books by the same narrator.

Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Pam Grout?

Walter Dixon, Lloyd James, Hal Urban

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It may have... I just couldn't listen long enough to find them.

    "Moving from reading to doing!"
Where does E-Squared rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    The best.

What did you like best about this story?

I've read quite a few books on the Law of Attraction but none of them helped me to practice it in the way that these nine experiments did.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Absolutely!

    Any additional comments?

Because of this book, I've been able shift my energy from a needy position to 'abracadabra'. I've recommended this to friends all over the world.

"Everyday examples fusing science & sprituality"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to everyone. Its easy to listen to (I did at 1.5 speed) and answers questions we all have about how to fuse fact based science with feeling based spirituality. Most of us have grown up learning the facts of how things work based on what we know about our evolution up to this point, and, most of us have been brought up in the culture of one religion or another. The examples in this book show evidence of what we suspect, that really there is a direct connection between science & spirituality. I will have to listen again to try some of the tests for myself. Highly recommended with a refreshing perspective.

What about Pam Grout’s performance did you like?

I like that her reading style was easy to listen to. Upbeat and humourous just in the right amounts.

"The most awful reader I have ever heard."
Would you try another book written by Pam Grout or narrated by Pam Grout?

    Definitely not

Has E-Squared put you off other books in this genre?

    No

Would you be willing to try another one of Pam Grout’s performances?

Definitely not - she reads as though she has a time limit - not at all relaxing. I listened to about 10 minutes of her book and couldn't stand it any longer. She sounded as though she was in a race to see how fast she could read a set number of words.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger and annoyance at the quality of the reader and disappointment as I was looking forward to listening to the book.

    Any additional comments?

Maybe it was cheaper for the author to read it but she should have had some lessons before she did it, and listened to the experts. I am totally not interested in the book at all now - she has ruined for me what could have been a good book - I will never know as I am not going to listen to it.

    "Food for thought"
Would you try another book from Pam Grout and/or Pam Grout?

I enjoyed this book and the correlation with the spiritual part of life. I thought the experiments were a unique process for the readers. I confess trying a few with no result, though I'm a big believer.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

One negative would be the author reading her own work. Need to have a professional narrate to add meaning.

    "I was absolutely amazed!"
Would you consider the audio edition of E-Squared to be better than the print version?

I have read it all, or so I thought. CWG started this process for me 15 years ago, Esther Hicks, Seth, ect. have all placed interesting perspectives to what my "gut" has been telling me was correct yet society has yet to acknowledge in the larger scheme of it.
I eagerly took on experiment 1 (love her humor and delivery) and believe it, or believe it, within 1 hour and 45 minutes I received a phone call advising me that I had won a an all expence paid cruise (minus tax, gambling, and gratuities)- Not a scam, as I have verified that one. I am thrilled to have put myself within this information and am very grateful to you Pam.. You are changing the lives and opinions of people and it is absolutely fantastic to have the sense of this type of freedom!

E squared was such an inspiring book. Pam puts things into perspective for the most skeptical readers. The experiments are easy to follow and 3 of my experiments manifested in one day. Imagine the possibilities! Highly recommend!

"Enjoyable overall, but the 'proof' was a bit shaky"

I am convinced that we create our reality and was so before reading this book. Pam Grout is an excellent writer, an enjoyable narrator and quite the humorist. The book was enjoyable. The experiments, however, didn't really work well for me. I didn't do all of them, but those I did do had zero or sketchy results. This is all perfectly fine with me. I still believe that we are attracting our reality 100 percent of the time. I do believe, however, that in order to manifest you need to feel consistent positive emotion around that which you are hoping for. Most of the experiments involved things I didn't really give a hoot about one way or another, so that may have affected my ability to pull them in. Also, giving a 48 hour timeline added, to me, an element of pressure for the universe to perform. A little anxiety in wondering if it would manifest in time to "count." So likely I was sabotaging the process a bit in my anxiousness (albeit slight.)

In any case, I still really enjoyed the book. Mostly due to the author's explanations of the concepts, as well as her good humor, but less enthused about the experiments.

An easy listen with easy to follow instructions.
Actually had to put it aside when my first exercise worked so impactfully and give it a think. Put the Bible's instructions to love and stay on the positive side of the world in thought and deed - in a whole new light.
Love this book. would give it 4.5 if I could.

    Any additional comments?

I found this book to be a solid contribution to the New Thought Movement however, Grout should have left out the divisive political analogies and stayed more positive. These were very off putting. New Thought practitoners shouldn't need to convey derision or negativity towards others to reach people. There is too much of that in the world as it is.

Lesson 101: Perfect Happiness ... Jon Mundy. High quality of the material.

While I was listening to this book, I did all the exercises and positive things happened for me. One day as I was walking down the hallway at work, I FOUND a $50.00 bill. Coincidence or was it because I changed my focus and expected good things to happen? I don't know. But this was fun! I'm going to listen to it again!

Where does E-Squared rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The book is worth listening to. I enjoyed the content. However the author narrates the book and it is pales in comparison with all the available professional narrators. Her narrative pace almost sounds as if it was playing at 1.15 speed. With professional narration, this book would be great.
