Using down-to-earth, everyday experiences and stories, as well as specific ancient Buddhist practices and mediations, Surya Das illustrates how to develop authentic presence, how to connect to our own experience, build deeper relationships, embrace life's lessons, as well as learn how to love what you don't like. With tremendous insight he explores specific ways in which we can more fruitfully relate to our own experiences as well as each other in today's fast-paced, complicated, and often confusing world.

"Not much here!"
I was disappointed in this work. It was a little too mundane for me,
and a little trite. I would recommend other audible titles on buddhism and insight by Pema Chodron, Shinzen Young or Thich Nhat Hahn.
The most wonderful, informative and entertaining work on Buddhism on audible is "The Middle Way-Buddhism."
As for "Awakening the Buddhist Heart", not that enlightening nor informative.
gave me the opportunity to reflect on myself will make sure I listen to audio multiple times. just bought the hard cover also
Lama Surya Das does it again! Wow. He's not going to let me give any other authors a chance, I find myself always reading his books!!! But awesome as always!!! Love it and grateful to have found his writings!
